Chapter 29

They were in the room with Hyunjin for almost an hour, just sitting there silent, absolutely no talking.

Y/n still had Hyunjin's hand held, she didn't want to let go..

"Hey, we should go check on Felix.." Minho said, breaking the silence. Everyone got up and left the room but Y/n stayed seated. "You coming..?" Minho stopped in his tracks asking her.

"I'll come in a few seconds, you go." She said softly. Minho left and she was alone with Hyunjin. While holding his hand and caressing his skin with her thumb, she wondered if the doctors knew if his head injury was severe or not, they didn't check anything in depth yet but it just came to her.

She got up and let go of his hand giving a very small smile at him before walking out of the room. Y/n looked around spotting Minho and the others walking onto the right side of the hall. She followed where the others were going, walking slowly, far from them.

Suddenly a vision hit her, her eyesight kept going black for a second but then back to reality. The vision was Hyunjin....it was in the basement when she couldn't hear or make out anything.

"Y/n! You okay?" Hyunjin asked while gently shaking her. "Y/n..?" He picked her up so she was on her knees.

"Can you hear me?" He cupped her cheek while trying to move closer but he moaned in pain from the numbness and stinging on his body.

She looked clueless, she didn't know what was going on. "Y/n get out of here." He stared at her for a few seconds. It looked like she got the message.

He pulled her into a tight hug and finally had the chance to say,

"I..love you."

She didn't hug him back, it broke his heart, he didn't want to pull away but she needed to get out of here. She got up walking to the door glancing back at Hyunjin who looked sorry.

Y/n held onto her forehead and she stumbled a little. She felt her tears stream down her face, was that what really happened? Soon she didn't even realize that her hand was against a wall and she was trying to calm down. 

Y/n clenched onto her shirt as she felt all the pain come back. She didn't even hug him...

Instead of standing there and weeping, she decided to keep walking to where the others were and follow behind them. She wiped the tears off her face before coming near the others.

Chan asked the receptionist which room Felix was in and he proceeded to walk to his room. Y/n got scared while walking, what if everything goes black..?

They all went inside Felix's room to look at his condition. Felix was a little startled but then Jeongin asked how he was.

Felix explained. "It's nothing too bad, they just did surgery to get the bullet out-"

"How the hell are you awake? How long did the surgery take?" Changbin asked.

"Trust me, I'm as confused as you were. I waited outside, the surgery took about an hour but he woke up soon after that. The doctor said that he just needs to stay in the hospital for a week or maybe a bit more than that." Jisung explained.

It was silent after that..

Felix got annoyed by the sudden quietness. "How's Hyunjin..?" Y/n felt a lump forming in her throat.

Chan told about his situation and Felix lowered his head. Suddenly, the nurse came in. "It's later than usual for when we get patients and visitors. I have to inform you that you may stay if you want for the night or you can leave..."

Silence fell in the room again and soon the nurse left. Chan looked at Y/n who's face could tell that she wanted to stay. "Y/n, you're tired. You need rest, a proper one. We can come back tomorrow but let's go home for now." Chan told.

She had no time for disagreeing and she was in fact tired and her eyes were getting sleepy from crying. While nodding her head, Chan turned around to tell the other members to go home.

Chan told Felix to hang in there before leaving for the parking lot.

While in the car on their way back Y/n could only focus on one thing, Hyunjin said I love you to her but she didn't say anything back..

It was a bad timing to be told those three words..
