Chapter 16

Hyunjin immediately took off his windbreaker and put it on my back. "You're going to catch a cold."

"But-" He cut me off, he held my hand to make me stand up from sitting on the grass.

"No, just take it and come." Hyunjin was jogging while holding my head, I'm guessing he was finding shelter. Both of us were running in the rain, it felt like it was only us and no one else was there on the streets. He went to the nearest place which had a roof and stopped jogging with me, we both stopped in front of a convenience store which had a roof outside.

We were practically drenched, Hyunjin's t-shirt was wet from the rain  and his hair was wet. I have to admit, he looked really attractive and handsome, it made me feel shy.

He walked closer to me, our faces were just inches away. He put his hand behind my head and put the hood over my head. "Stay warm." He said with the cutest smile ever, making my heart flutter.

"But you're going to get sick. Aren't you cold?" I asked him with a pout.

He gives a tiny smile. "I would feel cold if I had let you get soaked and not do anything about it." 

Does this mean he wants me to see the warm side of him? He cares for me....? Some strains of his hair fell leaving it hanging in front of his forehead, I pushed them back to his hair. He holds my wrist gently and places my hand on the top of his head directly looking at me in the eye. He was really handsome up close. Hyunjin crouches down to reach my height.

I nudge him softly. "Ya! I'm not that short!"

He softly giggles and goes in the store signalling me to come with him. Hyunjin got an umbrella and went to the cashier to pay for it but I ran in front of him so I could pay.

"Oh no you're not paying!" He whisper-yells at me.

"Yes I am!" I softly yelled.

"I'm not letting you." He says with a firm voice. I could sense other girls looking at me, they were whispering to one another. "She's so lucky!" 

I blushed a little and lost attention of what was going on so when I looked back at the cash register Hyunjin had already paid.

"I'm very satisfied, what about you?" Hyunjin teasinly said to me with a smile.

I pout and whine. "I told you I was going to pay!"

He whines back and ruffles my hair. "But I didn't want you to! It's not my fault." We both step outside of the store and Hyunjin opens the umbrella, we were going to share. He put the umbrella between us but I wasn't fully covered.

"Why are you so far away? Come closer." He says to me as he pulls me closer towards him so the umbrella can fully shield me from the rain. Our arms were touching each other and we both kept looking straight.

"Ateez,...they are tough. I am telling you this now, they are a skilled mafia. It will take us time to fully complete our mission with them." Hyunjin said to me with a serious tone out of blue, making an intimidating face.

I nod my head in response, and again it was that awkward silence. Hyunjin softly laughed to himself, then he turned his head towards me. "My jacket looks....good on you.....better than Felix's." He mumbled the last bit.

I definitely heard that.

So he is jealous. Well he sucks at hiding it. I didn't realize that I was smiling until I turned my head towards Hyunjin and his eyes were staring back at mine as we walked under the umbrella, crap I hate this feeling.

"Why're you smiling?" Hyunjin asked me with a little flirty tone.

I move his face so he looks straight and not at me. "Idiot.."

"Y/n....actually nevermind, we're back home." Hyunjin said but he stopped since we already reached our destination.

Both of our clothes were slightly dried from the rain but still a bit wet, as we entered inside.

"Where the hell did you two go?" Minho said, looking at Hyunjin.

"Went around, you know?" Hyunjin patted my back while answering Minho's question.

We both went upstairs to change, I took a nice hot shower before changing into something comfortable. Hyunjin's windbreaker dried when I came out from the shower. I picked it up and folded it but the strong scent of cologne hit me, why do men have better perfume scents than girls?

I continued to fold it and went outside holding the windbreaker. Looks like all the other members were doing research and planning, I didn't want to interrupt so I waited. They all agreed to train right now, it was about 3:20pm right now.

Before they all went to the training room Felix walked to me. "Y/n last night did I do anything weird..? I don't remember much." I'm assuming he was talking about when he was drunk. Hyunjin glanced at me and Felix walking slower to the training room (he wanted to know).

"No, you were fine." I said to Felix and he patted my back as he walked to the training room.
