"Who're you?" Amber questioned Kat. At this moment, I felt as if I were looking at lost long twins.
"I'm Kat." Kat replies, slowly yet hesitantly walking towards us. However, she stops as Amber takes a defensive step forward and blocks me from Kat's view.
"Well Kat, you best get on your way then." Amber strictly says. Kat attempts to look past her to meet contact with me but fails as Amber steps sideways, blocking me again.
"I saw you, Laurence, in the woods here and I was just curious. I'm s-sorry." Kat explains herself.
"You know what they say Kat, if someone don't kill you, curiosity will." Amber folds her arms and stands her ground.
I gently move Amber to the side, "It's fine, what do you want?"
"I just wanted to apologize. It was James's plan and I just wanted to join in." She answered as her fingers intertwined with each other, fiddling nervously.
"Fine. Just leave us alone." I stated. As Amber and I waited for her to leave, she didn't and instead kept a close eye on Amber almost like she were studying her.
"You look like me." Kat said. A silence came over us, excluding the sound of chirping birds above us and a vehicle zooming down the road in the further distance. I watched as they studied each other's appearance. Amber watched Kat before suddenly, falling to her knees and grabbing hold of her head, wincing in pain. I crouched as I held Amber in my arms as Kat backed up slowly.
"I-I have to go." Kat says before running back to the road. Amber winced in my arms while holding her hair in fistfuls.
"What's wrong?" I inquired her with widened eyes. She breathed heavily with her eyes closed tightly before finally calming herself down, then opening them again. Her eyes stared through mine as she grinned ever so slightly.
"I'm remembering." She says as a tear falls from her eye. I furrowed my eyebrows, confused.
"C'mon, we should go to the diner and get something to drink and eat." I suggest as I help her off the ground.

As we ate and drink our soda, Amber kept her head low the whole time. I took in the customers and realized they were all glancing back at us. Except, I don't think it was me they were glaring at.
"What is up with everyone staring?" I laughed, leaning into Amber. Her eyes looked up to me as she took a sip of her soda.
"They know who I am." She whispered.
"So?" I scoffed with annoyance as I slapped my cheeseburger back onto the plate with a thump! The people who were staring all  flinched before looking down into their laps, playing it off as if they hadn't been staring this whole time. My eyes followed a man's back who walked over to the phone on the wall. As he began his call, the waitress walked into view.
"Let me give you some more refills." She smiles brightly as she takes our half filled cups before taking off into the back. My eyes wandered back to the man as I could see he was leaning into the phone, whispering lowly.
"Yeah, it's definitely her." He whispered, glaring back at me, then to Amber. My fists pounded on the table,  amusing Amber to jump back. I stood and walked over to the man before hanging up the phone.
"What's your problem, man?" He spat. As his eyes met mine, my stomach turned. His eyes resembled West's, his voice like his except deeper and raspy. A much older version of West.
"West?" I asked the man.
He squinted his eyes at me, "Excuse me." He said before shoving me with his broad shoulders. I dashed to sit with Amber as she continued keeping her head down.
"I'm getting scared. I can't be caught again." She whispers to me as I sit down. My eyes dart from person to person. Some staring over to us while chewing violently on their lunch, or just obviously staring. I pulled some cash out of my back pocket and crumpled it onto the table as I gently took Amber's arm to leave. Though, the man who resembled West, stood in the way of the exit door.
"Excuse me, sir." I gritted my teeth, attempted to keep my calm self.
He turned his head to the side, "I'm sorry. Let me move out of your way, sir." He mocked. He kept his cocky stance and continued staring me down as Amber held onto my arm tighter. She whispers something into my ear that I couldn't understand, but when I went to ask her what she had just said, a loud thud sounded throughout the diner. I quickly turned and saw Amber on the checkered tile floor, passed out. As I go to help her, I get pulled back by the man. He grabs me by the collar of my t-shirt, holding me close to be met with his eyes.
"Don't ask, don't wonder." He says before he throws a punch into my eye. I fall to the floor onto my knees, holding my face in shock. I'm so glad I wasn't wearing my glasses today. Before giving me a chance to stand again, he grabs me once again and goes for another punch at my face, however, this time I thought fast. I threw my leg up to meet his pelvic as I step back and grin while he bends over, grunting in pain. As I go to assist Amber once again, she's being dragged by a group of people who were once sitting at booths. I chased them down but get tackled by customers.
"Let her go!" I yelled as I hear rips and feeling my skin make contact with someone's sharp nails. A loud wince comes from me, giving in to the customers. They took hold of me and threw me out of the diner before locking me out. My fists pounded on the hard door, before I eventually gave up as my voice became a raspy whisper.

Walking down the side of the dim street, I limped home. My white t-shirt were torn in odd places, allowing the warm summer air hit my torso. Bringing my hand up to my forehead, I felt blood on the side of my eye. I winced as I felt the soreness of it. However, my zombie like walk got disturbed as a car came up behind me.
"Laurence!" A familiar voice yelled from the vehicle.
