4 years ago“Cooper what did you do this was not part of the plan!”

“What's wrong babe? I did this for you, now you don't have to worry about any more student loans. I wouldnt of been able to do this if it wasn't for your virus.” Cooper cupped Freyas face with his hand and rubbed his thumb along her cheek.

“We could get caught what, what were you thinking are you stupid?” Freya shouted pulling away from his hand.

“Who do you think your talking to.” Cooper stood abruptly and raised the back of his hand to Freya and swung it across her cheek. Freya screamed as the back of his hand made connection with her face. She looked up at him pain in her eyes.

“You know not to talk to me like that Freya! you made me do it, didn't you, didn't you” Cooper said harshly raising his voice. freya stayed quiet and turned her head away from him.

“dont do that!” Cooper shouted as he picked freya up by the hair. “You make it seem like its my fault when you do that” Cooper grunted in her ear as he picked her up by her hair.

“Im sorry, im sorry” Freya pleaded desperately.

“Dont you ever talk to me like that again. You hear me?” Cooper said harshly. He loosened his grip and shot her down on the bed.

“Clean yourself up, were going out for diner.” Cooper turned and headed towards the bathroom.

Freya wiped the blood from her cheek. She decided she’d had enough of coopers abusive behaviour. She shoved her laptop in her backpack and ran. When she got outside there were several black SUV’s coming up the road, I ducked into the alleyway and waited for them to pass, except they pulled up outside the building. Several men and women got out the cars armed and had blue bullet proof vests on. They all ran into the building and came out a few minutes later with Cooper in custody. I came out from the alley in shock from what i had just seen. Cooper resisted the arrest and tried to get away. When he saw me stood in a big crowd of people he got angry and started to run towards the crowd. I retreated back within the crowd to try and hide from him “You’ll pay for this Freya. You hear, i’ll get you for this Freya!”

I spent the next few weeks sitting in my dorm room alone waiting for Cooper to be prosecuted. A couple of days before Cooper was meant to be prosecuted, it was announced on the news that he had committed suicide in his cell last night.

I felt nothing! My ex-boyfriend was dead and all i felt was free. Suddenly i heard a knock at the door. I opened it to find no one there, i looked round the hall and all i could find was a brown envelope addressed to me, Freya Smoak. I opened to find a white folded piece of paper. It read ‘You’ll pay for this Freya. you hear, i’ll get you for this Freya!’ the last words Cooper ever said to me. The letter also had todays date and Cooper Sheldons signature!

I knew i would never be safe if i stayed here, thats when i decided to change my name and identity. I am now Felicity Smoak, i’ve dyed my hair blonde and have moved a thousand miles to Starling City. My life begins now.
