Completely ignoring me, Dindu screamed "I found it!!"
My eyes turned to his hands immediately.

  Wow!

He found his phone in the flower vase on the center table.

"But it's of no use now." He added as he dropped it back where he saw it.

"Are you ignoring me, Daniel?" Kelly asked him.

"Damn, how did you think of searching that place? C'mon, your mum is full of surprises."

         "I know right!" Dindu exclaimed.

"Wow!" Kelly said to gain 'our' attention.

"Oh hey man, you came to visit today, I feel so loved." Dindu finally acknowledged his presence.

"You know, I've been very busy." Kelly said in his defense and I rolled my eyes.

"Your friend spent days in the hospital and you were too busy to come and see him?" I couldn't restrain myself from asking.

"Remind me why we are still friends?" Dindu asked Kelly.

   "Because I'm awesome!!" Kelly smirked.

"Yeah, that's it! That's it, you figured." Dindu joked then he gestured for Kelly to sit down while he sat beside him.

Just like that, he has forgiven Kelly and both of them were gisting and laughing so loud. I scrunched my face in disgust. I was already tired of sitting in the palour and listening to their endless talk about girls that I knew and about football. Also, I wasn't feeling sleepy anymore.

I stood up and grabbed a jacket from the room then went back to the living room.

"I'm going to Jade's house." I informed Dindu.

"Hey babe, stay with us a little longer." Kelly said and I went nuts.

"In the whole of your life, don't ever call me babe because the next time you do, that'd be the last time you'd speak."

"Because you will do what?" He asked.

"Slap all your tooths off and I really mean it." I said.

        "Come on, chill Simi."

That was Dindu but before I retorted someone else was speaking.

"And why do you have a thing against Kelly?"

Now, that was aunty Ifeoma. I didn't hear her drive in and i realized that we still didn't lock the gate after Kelly came in.

"I naturally can't stand toxic people." I said and I swear I didn't know when that came out.

"Do you always have to fight with everyone?" Aunty Ifeoma asked, now she was fully inside and standing in front of me while the boys stared.

Wow! She just made it seem like I'm a trouble maker.

"Aunty Ifeoma, someone does something to you, mistakenly or not, but for over three months he or she can't bring their self to apologise, isn't that toxicity?" I asked angrily.

"What happened?" She asked, seeming interested.

Dindu motioned for me to shut up but I still talked.

"Four months ago, during the inter-house sports, Kelly tried to rape me. Although he was drunk, he didn't apologize but instead, him and Dindu made fun of me in the presence of all the students."
