It was hard to watch. Azula had struck Aang with lightning right in the back, while he was in the Avatar state. You didn't know if he was alive or dead. You hoped he wasn't dead, or that would be the end of the Avatar cycle. And on top of that Zuko had betrayed you and the gaang. The situation could not have been any worse.

As Aang was falling you and Katara rushed to catch him, but someone held you back. It was the Dai Li, they were restraining you, and since you weren't a bender what so ever, there was no escaping it. You looked to Katara who was holding Aang in her arms. You knew she needed to be by his side but you too needed some assistance.

"Katara help me, please!" You cried out. She looked at you with guilt filled eyes, and in that moment you knew she wasn't going to help you. Just as you started to stop resisting, a blaze of fire freed you from the Dai Li's grasp.

You looked back to see Iroh fighting off the Dai Li. "You need to go! I'll hold them off for as long as I can." You were forever greatful for Iroh's sacrifice. You ran towards Katara just as she was ready to leave.

You all were back at camp, Katara healed Aang's wound but he was still unconscious. You were in your tent, bandaging up your wounds. The wounds that Katara said she would heal after she healed Aang's, but didn't. In this moment you felt really neglected. You know that Aang was a crucial part to ending this war, but your life mattered too. At least you thought that it did to Katara.

Just as you were putting the ointment on your last scar, Katara stepped into your tent. You didn't even bother to look at her because you were mad. Mad that you couldn't be upset with Katara even if you tried.

"Are you doing alright. You really took some hits from Zuko." Katara sat next to you. You wanted to scream and yell, but your voice came out soft, "Yeah, I'm fine." You said, still not looking at her. You were afraid that you'd spill all your thoughts if you did.

"I'm sorry for not helping you back at the cave. I had to make sure Aang was safe." Katara said. You were tired of hearing that. Aang wasn't the only person who needed to be kept safe. There were other people on this team who are just as important as he is. "You know, that's what everyone keeps saying, and it's starting to get annoying." You confessed. Katara had an unreadable look on her face. Like she was mad, but also confused at the same time. "What do you mean? I have to keep Aang safe. We all do, he's the key to ending this war!" That's when you lost it. "I know that! I know he's important, but so is everyone else! He's not the only one who gets to have your attention. I was about to be taken by the Dai Li, and you did nothing!" You covered your mouth in shock of what you just said. You usually never tell, especially not at Katara.

Katara's eyes went wide, she didn't know what to say to that. And neither did you! She just stayed silent, thinking. "I-I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable. I was just really upset that everybody acts like Aang's life matters so much more than someone else's." You were surprised when Katara walked up to you and kissed you, holding you tight. Your eyes went wide, but you soon melted under her touch. You two broke away when air was a problem. "I know that it can be fustrating at times, but Aang is our only hope for the world. Right now, he is everybody's priority. But that doesn't mean he matters more than anyone else. At least not more than you matter to me."
