CATHERA

An hour had already passed but I was still horrified and speechless of what happened. Still subconsciously staring at my hands thinking of what I am going to do. Is this the reason that man wants to kill me?

Why do I have something like this? So, is this a reason why Tygron doesn't want me to get out of the house? Is this witchcraft? Am I a witch?

Questions filled my thoughts and the lack of answers filled me with confusion and fear in that pause of time. What would Tygron say if he saw this mess on the side of my door? How am I going to clean this mess?

Should I tell Tygron about this? He'd probably get too anxious and send me away to a far place. I must not tell him.

Standing up, I rushed to get the cleaning materials I needed to use for the ash-filled corner of my room. A bucket filled with water, A whisk broom, and a piece of dirty rug. It was dark but I struggled to get through.

I began cleaning right away, fearing that Tygron might already go home and see this mess I made.

Where should I get materials to cover up the fried corner of my room? Tygron might find this out.

It took me an hour to clean up the floor until I had polished it as best as I could. But still, the wooden part of the burnt area turned fragile. With the cleaning, I made the portion where it was not black, and the spaces surrounding became good enough.

Though I am still expecting that if Tygron steps on this he might shoot his feet through it and this might make it suspicious but that's the only thing I have to worry about now.

I'm currently scrubbing the walls but then I stopped when I noticed that I must bury Serato first which had become ash.

I ran downstairs searching for a jar around the house and found a white ceramic jar with blue flower decorations in the pantry, the shelves of the counter. I chose the jar just under the kitchen sink and hurriedly went back to the room at Serato who got collected in the dustpan.

I felt so guilty looking at him poor and lifeless.

I immediately transferred him to the jar, carefully but quickly. I went to the backyard to get a shovel, bringing an oil lamp with me as it was dark.

Soon, I already dug up the hole to put the jar with Serato's ash inside. It took me quite a while to do it because the clouds were hiding the moon and my oil lamp was dim. But before I placed him in the hole I whispered to the jar, enclosing my lips to the jar.

"Please forgive me for what I've done. For all souls that saw your death, let only them speak and spread of the crime I committed. I promise to suffer from this sin and accident I've done." My last words before I put him inside the hole and cover him up with dirt.

I headed back to my room, returning to repolishing my room.

I'll be waiting for Tygron.

TYGRON

It's been a few hours since we've been on the job and it's already past midnight.

Kingston was assigned to the investigation while Sergei and I were on the search party. This means that whatever we swept on will be checked and inspected by their team. Even thinking that the task was going to be hard but turns out it is just this.

We've already gone through a few settlements in the woods and now we're on the Southeastern woods from the Southwestern-most areas of the forest. After we saw some old house in the middle of nowhere that looked like it recently caught on fire. Someone called the squad that includes Kingston to check there.
