CATHERA

Had such a tiring night after all that trouble Shayne dragged me into. I'm still grateful that we weren't caught or got into bigger trouble.

After passing the small neighbourhood, I'm still walking uphill. The sun was already high in the sky as I had a meal at the Warfell residence before I left.

The house was already near as I pulled on my dress, not wanting weeds to stick their seeds on it.

"I'm home," I said as I creaked the door open, entering the house. "How is it going without my presence?" I joked, grinning and looking around to find Tygron.

I know Tygron either cooked simply fish or just bought bread from the marketplace.

Tygron didn't reply. Where is he? I'm sure he waited for me to arrive before leaving.

Then as I walked to the dining area I saw a woman tied to a chair.

Wait, who the hell is this?

I stopped walking as soon I saw her.

"What is going on here?" I asked staring at her, stunned for a second.

"Who are you? Who did this to you?" I said as I rushed towards her. Is this Tygron's doing?

She was pleading for help "Please, help me. Hurry! you have to get me out of here," She whimpered. Looking around for someone.

"Are you okay?" I said, worrying, putting my hands on her shoulder and looking around her.

She's banged up. Her head had wounds. Dried blood was all over her left ear and her hair was scrubby and all over her face. She stinks a bit. Who could've done this?

"Tell me, who did this?" I asked but still, she ignored it.

"Just please, hurry up or he'll catch us. Untie me," She said, looking at the rope tied to his hands behind her for a second then looking back at me.

"Alright," I just said then went behind her to untie the ropes. Her panic quickly got to me and I also, panicking now tried to remove it from her hands quickly. As I noticed that I was weak enough to remove the tight ropes from her I ran to the kitchen to get a knife and then got right back at her.

"Quick, please. He could be back any moment," She said looking at her hands behind her. My hand was shaking as I untied her. My heart trembles when I am being rushed and under panic.

"Get up," I said as soon as I cut the ropes out of her hands and she stood up. She stood a little taller than me.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Can you tell me who did this?" I barraged her with questions, hugging her before I looked at her face. I held her hands and then her shoulders. She was stepping back from me panicking and talking, holding her shoulders as I let my hands off it.

"Him. There he comes," She said, pointing behind me as we heard approaching footsteps of leather. As I turned towards it I saw Tygron standing at the entrance of the back door, who paused as he saw me together with the hostage lady.

"Tygron?" I said, narrowing my eyes in confusion. "What is this?"

"Cathera," He was also surprised as he saw me. "What, are–uhm..." He crouched as he took a bunch of steps forward cautiously holding his hands towards us, the woman.

"What did you do to her?" I asked a bit mad at him.

"Cathera, you shouldn't..." He stuttered, looking into my eyes, at the woman, to the chair, and back at me. "Why did you..."
