KLAIRE
"I'm home. Cathera, are you still okay?" Tygron said as he entered the house. As he opened the door, I could see that he was having some urge to say something.
He suddenly stops as he sees me standing untied in front of him.
"Where's Cathera?" He questioned with his eyebrows inching, placing his hand on his waist, ready to unsheathe his weapon. He thinks I killed her.
"I'm here," Cathera replied in the kitchen, not visible from the foyer where we were standing. We both could hear the faint crackling of the fire which his sister was busy at.
"What the..." He stuttered in surprise. He thinks I'd never get along with her sister which he still doesn't. He finally pulled out his sword tied to his waist.
Of course, I also felt surprised when he entered.
I should note that even though Cathera's awkward, she's funny to me and she's so nice. We're getting along.
But other than that, it's like she's hypnotizing me and making me get along with her. The way she talks. Like birdsong and wind, itself, calming me.
"Cathera, what on damnation did you just do?" He said with eyebrows inching, lazily pointing the blade of his weapon at me.
"Tygron, you're home," Cathera greeted, smiling at us before noticing the sword. I looked at Cathera and then back at him.
We both, Tygron then could hear Cathera walking behind the wall coming out to talk to us, holding an empty bowl, and suddenly saw Tygron putting his blade to me.
"What are you doing, Tygron?" She said as she saw him pointing the sword at me. Of course, there is a slight panic on my face and they could see it but I am trying to toughen up my look.
"Cathera, come here," Tygron said convincing Cathera, waving his hand and pointing at her.
"What... no, Tygron just–just listen... put... " Cathera said stammering and Tygron interrupted him.
"You know, you're putting yourself at even greater risk by setting this witch free!" Tygron scolded. "Come over here!"
I decided to be speechless. Just looking at who's talking between both of them. I was just staring hard at Tygron, in case he attacked me.
"No, Tygron put it down, just listen," Cathera said cutting between me and Tygron, facing towards him, placing her hand above the sword of Tygron, lowering it down, slowly.
"We struck a deal, Klaire and I, Tygron... so calm down," She said calming Tygron down, also holding out her hand. She stood close behind me.
"What, uhh... what?" Tygron said finally lowering down his sword. "Deal?"
"Uhm... How should I uhh..." Cathera said not knowing how to start "How about some dinner first, okay? You both look tense. Over here," Cathera tried to soften the red line between them but felt awkward, gestured her head towards the dining table and walked towards it, still holding the bowl.
As time passed, all of us went to sit at the dining table with Klaire at the end of it, distant from me and Tygron. We're all eating dinner already and still, Tygron feels tense at me, looking at me hard on the other side of the table. but, the atmosphere was gloomy.
There was just silence as we ate. Only the sounds of the utensils and the ambient outside were heard. No one was talking, no one was even trying to until Cathera did.
