The Run Away Mask

In the morning, early at dawn, Dream and Ink seemed to be training outside as Blue watched them while eating an apple. "Come on Dream! I'm leaving so many openings! Just take advantage of one! If you can that is-" Ink hummed with confidence

"It's not as simple as you think!" Dream huffed, quickly summoning a shield to block Ink's attacks, keeping his ground before summoning his bow after Ink backed off, shooting at Ink while keeping his space.

Ink dodged easily. The arrows were too slow. "Are you holding back? This is the lives of many others in the multiverse! Try harder! Attack me like you mean to weaken me! I can take it!" Ink said. Dream grumbled, "You're my friend though!" Dream whined, "No!!" Ink huffed before quickly painting a rotten tomato, throwing it at Dream face

Dream froze before grumbled a little as he wiped his face from the tomato. "That should be enough for today. Khloe expects me to talk to my friends!" Ink said, "I guess I'll go distribute to the moon kingdom then...I feel as if there's a better way to tell them about our kingdom though," Blue said

Ink hummed in thought, "I was thinking of having our new kingdom where the sun shines on it almost all day till evening! Then the moon can lift up from behind us so the moon empire can see it! Or at least see the outline of our kingdom!" Ink smiled with stars in his eyes

"Ya wanna lead my brother to our kingdom?" Dream rose a brow, "...eh- work in progress," Ink smiled. Dream scoffed with a chuckle, "How about this, 'To find us, look for the soon rising sun'...our kingdom should be placed where dawn rest on our kingdom," Dream suggested.

Ink gasped, "I like it! Morning sun like a new beginning!" Ink giggled, "I'll work on it sooner or later! Anyways! Gotta go!" Ink opened a portal and ran through, closing the portal behind him.

"Make sure to clean up the lawn," Blue stood up as he walked inside, taking another bite of his apples as he went to change into his cloak and mask to get ready. Dream nodded and started to clean up the ground, healing the burnt-up grass and getting rid of the rotten tomato pieces...

Of course, the morning was a struggle again for Cross during patrol. He felt sore, even stretching wasn't enough. He was already exhausted from all the workouts. It didn't help he had to jog all the time for patrol. Even XChara wasn't enjoying this, and he wasn't even doing anything

"Can you just...NOT and relax! Error isn't gonna find out you stop jogging!" XChara complained. Cross shook his head. "Nope! No can do, gotta keep going! If I stop I'll never be able to defeat Dream," Cross then took a deep gasp of air from that sentence

"You better buy some chocolate and get in an ice-cold bath after this, just watching you jog is painful-" XChara commented as they seemed to sink.

It was after a while that they saw the cloaked masked person again. He was still uncertain of them and wanted to get a better look, even just general questions would help. Cross quietly followed them around the poor parts of town

Watching any sign of anything to take note of. He'll question the people around later, his main focus was that blue smiled mask. Once it seemed like the person was returning back to the forest Cross attempted to approach, jogging close to them.

"Excuse me!" Cross breathed out. The masked person turned and noticed the mark on Cross's cheek before turning back, speed walking away, Cross still following behind. "Hey!... Can I ask you a few questions?" Cross asked

The speedwalking became faster before they started to run away. Cross saw that as suspicious as chased after them.  He had until his patrol was done or until they reach the edge of the kingdom.

The person seemed to try and slow Cross down by running in front of people, making Cross have to slow down just to keep tailing them.

"Can you please stop resisting!" Cross exclaimed. "Cross, you're getting nowhere with being nice! No regular person would run from you unless unfaithful to king Nightmare...which means you have permission to stop with any means necessary..right?" XChara told them as their smile became an evil grin.
