The Sun and Moon Cross Paths

A Letter

Dream and Khole were eating in silent, Dream felt uneasy, reading that book, made him feel horrible, to the point that his stomach was in pain.

Khole didn't notice this, they were too busy eating there own food. Dream just stared at his food, his appetite lost, somewhere else besides Dream.

Dream was just reminded of the story of the two guardians...

Dream didn't know his brother was in pain, he didn't know that people hated him, he didn't know that he need attention...Dream felt bad, he felt horrible...

Dream stood up from his chair, Khole noticed this, there mouth full of rice, as they gulped it down. "Where are you going?" Khole asked, "I'm...going to take a walk in the woods, I'll be back soon" I said, I need to get some fresh air...

"O-Okay then, if your in trouble, remember to teleport here" Khole said as she pick up her empty plate and walked in the kitchen, "Sure thing" I said.

I opened the door and walked out, greeted with a cool breeze that rubbed my cheek bones.

I stepped down from the porch, and started to walk in the forest.

I felt horrible, and miserable, I didn't know, I want to make it up to Nightmare, but how? I'm not really welcomed in his presents, and I know he's going to start war with me, so I how can I make it up to him?

I started thinking of ways to make it up to him, without him knowing it's me...maybe mysterious letters? Or flowers? I don't think Nightmare like flower, but I think he'll read my letters...maybe not...I'll try it and see if he replies...maybe...

What if I give him a gift?! Well...I don't really know what he likes and dislikes, so I don't think that'll work either...I guess I can just give him letters for now.

I kept on walking in the forest till entering a clearing, it had a lot of grass, but there was a fence, and a few guards there. I was close to the Moon castle...I can't let the guards see me...maybe if I cause a distraction?

I decided to summon a bone, so'd they investigate. The bone was far away for me to past through. Of course the guards went to see what it was, as I snuck through. Every now and then I'd make another bone appear more far away from me.

The castle had a few brick that stuck out, so I could climb my way up. I did so and started to climb, I'm pretty good at climbing, but I'm a bit rusty now. My foot would sometimes slip from know and then, but the guards were to busy with the bones I've summoned.

I kept climbing till I reached a window and entered the castle, I have to be careful, since Nightmare can sense positivity. I started to walk around, not knowing which room is which.

Most of you are probably wondering what I'm doing...I'm trying to gain information as much as I can, what are Nightmare soft spots, and what isn't

I kept looking around, all I saw were maids, butlers, and servant rooms, nothing too important...the funny part is that I know all of these people.

I kept looking, and there was nothing important here. Good thing none of the maids, servants, and butlers, didn't see me. I guess the more important things are downstairs, but that increases my risk of getting caught.

I decided that it was best I didn't go downstairs, maybe another tim-

"-What was wrong with Cross today?" a familiar voice said, "It's just something he's embarrassed about, he has a ghost following him, like my Papyrus!" another voice said, "That's not something to be embarrassed about" the other familiar voice said, "I know, I guess he didn't want us to ask questions about it" the other voice said.

Oh no! I better hide!

I opened a door and entered the dark room and  shut the door and as a persuasion, I locked the door as well, as two shadows pasted by, "Hey, does something feel off?" the familiar voice asked the other voice, "Mmmhhh, not to me, what's the matter?" the other voice, "I feel two strong sources of positvity" the familiar voice said, "Someone must be happy then" the other voice said, "Y-Your right...maybe something happened that made someone excited or something" the familiar voice said as they kept walking past.

Once the voices were gone, I turned on the lights in the dark room, and saw paper, pencils, and letters everywhere, sorted in there right place. This must be the mail room.

I took a piece of paper and a pencil, "This is my chance" I whispered to myself as I started writing a letter, "What should my fake name be?...Star is a nice name!" I said, thinking out loud.

Hello! My name is Star! Today I read a book about you and your brother Dream, the story is so sad to me! I really wish you didn't get bullied! I have a few questions though, if you don't mind me asking that is.

How come you never told your brother about everyone that bullied you? What made you so scared?

Do you miss your brother? If so how much?

If you could see your brother one more time, what would you do or say?

How come you always look like an octopus?

I folded the piece of paper up and placed it in a envelope. I placed it on a table and wrote on the letter, "For King Nightmare" and walked up to a window to escape.

I saw the guards down there, and they seem to have lost interested in my bones, guess I have to go to the next big thing.

I  summoned a gaster blaster, as the guards saw it started to run up towards it, to attack, to make the guards go away, I made them chase the gaster blaster, so I could climb down and run back into the woods.

Soon enough I came back to the cottage where Khole was waiting for me on the porch, "Dream!" Khole said as they ran up to me and hugged me, "Your back!" Khole said hugging me tighter, "Of course I would be back, I'm not going down without a fight!" I told Khole, they smiled.

"Well, I'm glad you back, come on! We have matters to discuss" Khole said bring me inside.
