With the Morning turned to Noon, the Moon Knights searched the town in shifts. While one would stay in an area, they would switch within every hour in case the other had failed to explore a particular spot or so.

Though alas there was no sight or sign of Cross being around. Horror looked all over Townsquare. Dust looked within alleyways of shops and businesses. Killer looked in neighborhoods, schools, and common areas— still, nothing of Cross to be told off.

The Knights then regrouped up in a public garden in the common area. Bushes and vines in a cage to make a natural dome. Flowers in the bushes and marsh in the bricks on the floor with trees, butterflies, and bees buzzing about. Birds would hang around on top of the dome, as the Wind would flow through the few trees inside.

Killer awaited Horror and Dust. "Anything?" Killer asked. The both of them shook their heads. "Where the hell could he have gone?" Killer gritted his teeth. "Psh- you'd think this would be easy" Horror groaned. "I know-...anywhere we haven't checked?" Dust asked.

"I checked all neighborhoods, every alleyway of the houses... I asked the common people if they'd seen him, but none have. He's not near the schools, and I looked in the common places such as the fountains, garden, and just places people seem to rest at..." Killer summarized.

"I checked all the shops near Townsquare, near the poorer areas and richer. All the hotels, and even those who offer service-" Dust groaned and shivered. "Ooo! Were they pretty?" Horror smirked suggestively. Dust kicked his shin.

"OW! Hey!!" Horror grumbled. "What about you Horror?" Killer asked. "Nothin- I looked around Townsquare, library, and the general high traffic areas...nothing of any significant..." Horror crossed his arms.

They all sighed. "Where could he have gone? Is he not back at the castle?" Dust asked. "You'd think Error would come to find us if he did come back-" Killer grumbled. "He's definitely not in the kingdom-" Horror rolled his eyes.

"...You think he's outside the castle? On the outskirts of town?" Dust asked. "It could be possible- but why?" Killer asked. "Let's hope he didn't decide to try and run away like a wuss..." Horror commented. "Cross is not the type to run away...maybe he had a reason- come on, all of us-" Dust then turned as Killer and Horror would follow behind him.

They would then make their way to the edge of town, near the poor area before making their way out in the field of grass, entering the forest not too far away.

"Say- what do we look for here?" Killer asked. "I'm not sure...no one should be here- except perhaps little kids-" Dust mentioned.

Horror looked around before taking in a breath. "Stop." Horror told the two. They stopped in their tracks and look at Horror. Horror would walk by a tree, bones dug into the ground with a purple stain on them. He bent and took one in his hand and pulled it out.

The other end was sharp. "A skeleton monster was here- with an intent to hurt something or someone...seemws they were successful. There's purple blood on the bone. Blunt trauma it seems," Horror said as he looked around more. He then saw fragments of cloth. He grabbed it from the ground, rubbing his thumb on it. Light blue cloth.

Dust and Killer walked over and started to look around the area. Killer looked over to see a tree with a large hole in it. "That seemed to be done with Gaster Blasters-" Killer pointed out. Dust walked behind the burned tree to see broken blue bones everywhere behind it. "Someone one was being held here but got free. There was some sort of fight and someone was being held here-" Dust said.

"Why would they want to keep someone there? Clearly, they got free-" Horror huffed.

"Not by themself though...the bones are broken, you can't break yourself out without harming yourself..." Dust said.

"Someone must have helped them. Meaning whoever kept them there had something to do, rather than just keeping them there-" Killer commented.

"...There were more, aren't there?" Horror speculated. "...You don't think it's the masked people- the ones Cross mentioned?" Dust asked.

"I think we got a lead!" Killer smirked. Horror grinned, "That cocky bastard went out to catch whoever those masked people were," Horror chuckled a little. "At least we know they hide up in the forest now," Dust said. "Let's keep going," Dust suggested

Horror stood up from his spot, keeping the cloth in his pocket as the group got back together and started walking again in the supposed direction the evidence of cut-up and stabbed bushes of bone magic led them to.

Then an opening appears with burn marks on the ground of suggested explosions and glass. They looked around. Power on the ground with shattered glass surrounding it. Bones would impale the nearby trees and ground.

A tree would be covered with blue bones, broken up again.

"Cross held someone else here as well," Killer pointed out. Dust walked over near the powder and kicked it. The powder would collide with each other as it started to make a smoke. "This powder is reactive," Dust smirked, a little impressed.

Horror looked at all the bones in the bushes, walking along the edges of the battle. Horror stopped before seeing a large knife, entangled in the bushes. He reached for it and pulled it out. "Yup- Cross was definitely here!" Horror smirked as he continued to walk along the edges.

"So it's the wolf and the three little pigs kind of thing, isn't it?" Killer smirked. "Never make that comparison ever again." Dust groaned. "What!? Is it not!" Killer laughed. Horror then stopped again and reach under the large leaves of the forest ground and pulled out a large cyan, burning arrow.

"Guys..." Horror said. the two of them looked over. "He found him." Horror looked wide-eyed. The others were shocked. "Shit...he's remarkable-" Dust was amazed. "I wouldn't say that" Killer crossed his arms. "He's not back at the castle with their skulls, clearly he was captured by...something-" Killer shrugged.

"Well Cross seems to be stronger than most of them, though...something did stop him. Couldn't have been Dream- at the tournament they were at equal footing, but Cross is WAY stronger now to have defeated two of Dream's men," Horror explained.

"So-....a Trump Card?" Dust asked. Horror nodded, "This is important. At least we know Cross is...somewhere he, but from what I can see, the fight ends here, and there are no tracks that lead us anywhere," Horror looked around.

"Seems so- let's report to Error and the King, see what they'll do about this-" Horror would then lead the way back, Dust and Killer following behind.

As they walked away, from the bush hiding in a brown cloak was Khole, with an irritated sneer on her face. Clearly, something happened...

She wondered what Ink, Blue, and Outer have to say of this incident...
