Chapter 3

(Hayes' POV)

"So what school do you go to?" Katie asks me as we clean the dishes from after dinner.

"Online schooler." I nod, she nods and laughs.

"So am I." She says nodding, I smile and we continue washing the dishes.

"I'm glad we found out about you, now I won't have to be alone every time we all hang out, the boys don't really want me to chill with them so I'm usually on my phone or watching tv." I say nodding, she laughs and throws a sud on my shirt.

"Brat!" I shout throwing some on her, she shrieks while laughing and we break out into a bubble war.

"Stop! Truce! Truce!" She screams as I start to get the sink hose, I laugh putting it back and she puts her hands up while walking back to the sink.

"Now the floor is all wet." She groans, she looks up at me and we bust out laughing.

"Why in the hell is there bubble all over the floor? It looks like somebody's water broke in here." Taylor says disgusted at he walks around it to get to the fridge.

"That was us, sorry." Katie apologizes, I continue laughing from the joke and Katie sees me making her laugh.

"You're both idiots." Taylor says leaving, we laugh and start to clean up.

"You're actually fun to be around, to be honest." I say nodding, she smiles and we finish cleaning.

"We should call Madison back over here." Katie says as we walk into the living room, I shrug and sit down on the couch, she brings up her phone and calls someone, they talk for the next five minutes and she ends the call.

"She'll be over in a few minutes." She nods sitting back next to me, I take in all of the features on her face and try to see the difference between her and Cameron.

(Katie's POV)

"Hey we're going out to get something to eat, want anything?" Matthew asks popping his head in the door.

"I want a chocolate milkshake!" I scream making him laugh.

"I don't want anything." Hayes says shaking his head, I look back at Matthew and he nods.

"We will be back with your milkshake." He says nodding, I laugh and he says bye smiling, I've gotta admit, he seems really nice and is super cute.

"Ding dong, I'm here." Madison shouts coming in the front door, I jump up hugging her and she smiles.

"Hey best friend!" Madison shouts at me, Hayes scoffs and shakes his head.

"She's my best friend." He says making Madison laugh.

"And you are?" She asks, she can have a slight attitude, especially when you make her mad.

"Grier, Hayes Grier." He says with a smirk, she rolls her eyes and looks at me.

"Didn't tell me we were having dicks at this sleepover." She says, I laugh and Hayes rolls his eyes as I sit between them.

"Milkshake has arrived!" Matthews voice sounds coming in the living room, I jump on the couch carefully because of my boot and grab my milkshake.

"Thanks." I smile, he laughs helping me down and nods.

"You're welcome, also Cameron wanted you, follow." He says leaving the living room, I tell them I'll be right back and follow Matthew.

"Where is he?" I ask him as we enter the empty kitchen.

"Oh, did I say Cameron, no I meant me." He says nodding, I laugh and sit at the island.

"What's up?" I ask him sipping my milkshake, he leans down on the counter propping himself up.

"Well, I wanted to get to know you, you know like, let's be friends." He says nodding, I smile and shrug.

"Sure, what do you want to know?" I ask him, he hums thinking about it and looks at me.

"Well, I'd love to know who your boyfriend is?" He asks me, I laugh and nod.

"I don't have one, and im sure you do love to know that I don't." I say with a laugh.

"Stop being so conceited." He says with a smirk, I laugh and shake my head.

"Katie!" I hear Cameron, Matthew stands up straight and acts like he's at the fridge.

"Yeah?" I shout, he emerges into the room and looks over at me.

"Guess what!" He practically shouts at me, I shout what back at him and we both laugh.

"Don't freak out okay? But the boys are kind of staying this whole summer with us." He says squinting his eyes, I shrug and he gives me a surprised look.

"You're not mad?" He asks me, I shake my head looking over at Matthew who is smiling.

"No, sounds exciting." I say smirking at Matthew then back to Cameron.
