(Y/n) sighed as she continued to watch the waves gently brushing against her feet.
She threw her hands behind her back as she spoke, knowing that she was no longer alone anymore.
"Why are you hiding there for? Come out already," she said casually as she playfully sank her foot into the water.

"Tch. You're no fun. Still thinking about running away?" Banryu said as he came out from the shadows.

(Y/n) scoffed bitterly.
"Yea, right. Can't I at least walk around my village instead of locking myself up in the room? We are not even married yet and you're already controlling me that much? Real mature," she said and rolled her eyes a bit as she turned her attention back to the waves she was playing with.

Banryu rolled his eyes.
"Yea. Yea. I was just checking up. We are just gonna marry as a show for the elders and our tribe anyway. Not like because we are in love or something," he said, crossing his arms.

"Ohh...so, you do realize that," (Y/n) said sarcastically as she looked back at him.
Banryu rolled his eyes.
"Oh come on. You know how things changed back there," he said and (Y/n) smirked as she immediately turned back to him, pointing a finger right at him.

"Aha! So, you do admit that I was right!" she said and Banryu rolled his eyes again as he held his hands up in the air as a surrender.

"Alright. Alright. Jeez. Anyway, as I am saying, I am not gonna lay a finger on you after we get married. I give you my words for that," he said, crossing his arms as he looked back at (Y/n).

"No worries. I was gonna chop off your hands if you try anyway," (Y/n) said and Banryu snickered as they both looked into the distance.
"Still...it has been a long time since then, huh?" Banryu said.

Flashback,

A young (Y/n) giggled as she ran out to the beach, looking excited. She looked around carefully and smiled as she took her wings out.
Just as she was about to fly off...
"You're sneaking out again~"

The girl sighed as she pouted and kept her wings back.
"Banryu...come on, just pretend like you didn't see me," she said, pouting as she turned around to see a young Banryu who was only two years older than her.

"Tch. Why are you always sneaking off anyway? Doesn't your grandfather always scold you whenever you does that?" Banryu asked, crossing his arms as he raised a brow.

"Unless if he doesn't find out~ All I have to do is get back here on time. Father said it's ok as well as long as I keep it like that," the girl said and Banryu sighed.

"What makes you so excited that you are heading off to god, who knows where almost everyday?" he asked and (Y/n) smiled as she twirled around happily.
"Come on, have some fun, Banryu. We can't just stay on the island and live our lives hiding all the time. Adventure's waiting for us over there!" she said and Banryu sighed as he smiled slightly.

"You know girls aren't supposed to take a step out of the island, especially a princess like you," he said and (Y/n) pouted at him.

"That's unfair! Who made that rule anyway?"

"Your grandfather did"

"Arrgh!"

"Haha. Fine. Fine, just this one time or else, I am gonna tell to the elders," Banryu said and (Y/n) cheered happily.
"Yay! Thanks, Banryu nii-chan! See ya!" (Y/n) said happily as the girl cheered and took of happily to go and see her friend while Banryu secretly smiled and watched the girl took off.
