"So..minecarts-," Y/N spoke up.

"Pretty genius huh?" Clay looked at the girl with a goofy smile on his face.

"Yeah, actually. But we'll need to walk every once and awhile to let our horses rest," she said.

"Yeah," The boy looked up at the noon sun. "We should take a break and eat."

"Okay," The girl looked around the jungle for a decent place to rest. "Over there." She pointed to an abandoned campsite. It had a fire pit, log chairs, and an old, tattered chest. They rode over and parked there.

Y/N and Clay hopped of of the horses and sat down. Y/N pulled out a canteen of water and two sandwiches while Clay fed the horses.

Clay sat down next to Y/N who handed him his sandwich. They ate and shared the water. Y/N looked up at Clay who had a faraway look in his eyes.

"Penny for your thoughts?" She asked, grabbing the canteen from Clay who was handing it to her. Clay looked at her and spoke.

"It's been so long. Starting a conversation is hard," he laughed silently.

Y/N put the canteen down and grabbed his face in both her hands. "Four Years wasn't able to effect our friendship. We just gotta spend more time together!" She smiled her goofy smile Clay adored so much.

Clay sighed with a smile on his face. "Alright, shortie."

"Hey!" She took her hands off his face and crossed her arms. "We were having a moment~," she whined.

"Well, moment over. Come'n. We have a half hour walk to do, and with your injury, that's going to complicate things."

Clay stood up while Y/N cleaned up, and soon they were on their way.

While they walked, Y/N subconsciously grabbed Clays hand. She realized she had grabbed his hand the moment her hand felt warm.

'Oh well, it feels nice. I haven't held his hand since his 14th birthday,' Y/N smiled to herself.

Clay turned his head and looked at Y/N. 'Gosh, what in the world has gotten into me lately? I just feel, so-so drawn to her," his cheeks tinted pink for a few moments before returning back to their normal color.

Soon, the sun started to set, and they set up camp for the night.

Y/N curled up in Clay's arms where she felt the most secure and fell asleep. Clay fell asleep not even five minutes later.

Clay woke up next to Y/N for the second day in a row, 'Gosh, why is she so cute...,' he thought, sitting up.

"Oh, Y/NNNN~. Time to wake up~," he murmured, shaking her gently awake.

"M-Kay...," Y/N sat up rubbing her eyes. She planted a quick kiss on Clay's head before they packed up.

Before you could say 'Supercalifragilisicexpialdocious', it was nightfall. Y/N was tired from walking and Clay was exhausted from fighting mobs all day. It was safe to say that when they arrived in a village, the Gollum almost mistook them for monsters; but the sleepy Y/N picked up a poppy and rubbed her eyes while she handed him the flower. The Gollum got the message and led them to an abandoned house, the kind that were used for visitors.

Y/N thanked the Gollum and kicked of her shoes and armor. She passed out in the bed the second she touched the pillow. Clay took his armor and shoes off and set their stuff up for easy grabbing the next morning. He crawled into bed with Y/N and spooned her, holding her waist, trying his best to avoid her injury. He took a deep breath.

'Strawberry's,' he thought. 'She smells like strawberrys'n'vanilla.' He kissed the back of her head whispering, "Goodnight, cutie," and he went to sleep.
