"Look! Mr. Daniel said that's called the Big Dipper!" Clay pointed up to a cluster of stars, which formed some sort of spoon shape. "And right there- that's the Little Dipper!" Clay exclaimed, moving his arm slightly.

"Woah~," Y/N whispered. She loved seeing the stars at nighttime.

"Isn't it cool?" Clay asked Y/N.

"Mhm!" Y/N agreed, shaking her head up and down. "But it's also scary at night. There's a lotta monsters!" Y/N informed him, pointing to a far off zombie.

"Yeah, but you got me to protect you!" Clay told her, putting his hand on her head. Clay had turned 11 three months ago, and he was now learning how to perfect his skills. One of them, being he had to stay up all night without getting tired. Of course, Y/N had been taking jobs to learn to. She was set on leaving the second Clay came for her. The village peoples decided it would be alright for Y/N to stay up with Clay. It might prove some challenge if Y/N fell asleep. Or it could go the other way around and Y/N would earn more experience in fighting.

Y/N yawned. It had to be 10:00 by now. She looked down at hers and Clays custom swords. They only had about 51 more hits left on them each. She and Clay had been allowed to carve their names into the special swords and keep the last hit as a last chance. They were also told that they could find enchanted books to keep them at full use, so they could use it whenever.

Clay spotted an endermen and tapped Y/N.

"Hey! There's an endermen here! Wanna help me take him out?" Clay whispered, excited to possibly take out his first monster with Y/N.

"Yeah! Let's go!!" Y/N whispered back. She and Clay both grabbed their swords and raised the shields before slowly creeping up on the endermen.

"Remember! Don't look at his eyes!" Clay warned before they started attacking the endermen. They each landed about five or six hits before he died and dropped an ender pearl.

"Look! It's an ender pearl!" Y/N exclaimed. Clay talked about them all the time but Y/N had never seen one cause the endermen she killed never dropped one. Clay also refused to show her the item cause he wanted it to be special like it was for him.

"Yeah! Isn't it pretty!?" Clay told her.

"Mhm!" Y/N agreed, picking it up and carefully placing it in her backpack. She and Clay had been gifted magical backpacks when they were 10. They could hold a lot of things and it would weigh nothing! She and Clay would keep the necessities in the side pockets for easy grabbing.

They both walked around the village, killing monsters when they saw them and just talking under the stars.
At about six in the morning, they both walking into Mrs. Lily's house, where hot oatmeal and two glasses of fresh milk were waiting. Clay and Y/N smiled bright even though they were tired. They rushed to sit down and Mrs. Lily came out shortly after that.

"Well! How did you both enjoy your first all nighter?" She questioned, sitting down to hear their tale as they ate.

"It was awesome! I got my first ender pearl!" Y/N exclaimed, bitting into her cinnamon oatmeal.

"Mhm! And we slayed a whole buncha' monsters!" Clay continued, also taking a bit of his oatmeal, which was maple and brown sugar instead of cinnamon.

"Wow! That sounds amazing! I have some business to attend to at Town Hall. You finish up, get washed up, and get some rest you deserve it!" Mrs. Lily told them, before leaving to attended the meeting.

~~~~at the meeting~~~~
"Y/N should not be allowed to fight!! She's a 10 year old girl! She can't possibly want to leave that bad?!" Sister Anne exclaimed.
"I feel like she should do what she wants, Sister Anne," Big Sister Abigail told her.
"I agree with Sister Abigail. Y/N wants to explore. She's also very set on exploring with young Clay," Mr. Mayor said.
"She's been doing a very well job on her work, as has Clay. They're both very fine at their jobs. They'll have enough experience for when their 14," Mr. Finner the Fishermen inputted.
"I agree with Mr. Finner. The youngens' have a bright future in front of 'em. Ya can't just take that away by not allowing the little Y/N to make that decision," Pastor Kelsey said.
"Yes, I agree. She still doesn't have to make her decision for three years," Mrs. Lily added. "I say we should drop this constant argument about whether or not to let Y/N go. She's becoming more independent on the daily."
"I second that!" Mr. Mayor added.
"And I third that," Mr. Finner said.
Almost everyone agreed except Sister Anne and Brother Don.
"I disagree," Brother Don interrupted. "Young Y/N's a girl. A GIRL! She should be learning how to cook and wash and clean and the sort."
"But she already has those skills, Brother Don! They were the first things she AND Clay learned when they turned eight," Mr. Finner the Fishermen told him.
"Ugh! I give up! Do what you want!" Brother Don exclaimed before stomping out with Sister Anne close behind.
Sorry this one's so short. It's kinda just a filler. But I wanted to place some ground for what's going to happen when Y/N turns 14. Until next time,
