"Clay?"
"Yeah, Y/N?"
"You're still going to come back to get me, right?" Y/N asked him, with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Well, duh. I wouldn't leave you behind for the world, Y/N," Clay told her giving her a tight squeeze. He was leaving in one week and he and Y/N planned to spend it together.
"Okay. Just-," she choked back non-existent tears.
"Just what, Y/N?" Clay inquiried, pulling apart from the one sided hug looking at her.
"Just don't forget, okay?" Y/N was scared that Clay would forget her.
"Never. I would never forget you. Now enough sappy things. Why don't we go to Mrs. Lily's house and get the rest of our things?" Clay told her. About 3 months ago, he and Y/N had moved into a small house together and because they spent so much time training, they didn't always have free time to get their boxes.
"Okay," Y/N murmured, before they left.
They entered the house and let Mrs. Lily know they were getting the last of their things. They grabbed the last few boxes and headed out to their small house at the edge of the small village. They went inside and started unpacking, when Y/N stumbled upon an all to familiar doll. She smiled slightly, gently setting the doll aside.
After they finished unpacking, Y/N and Clay looked around. They liked it. It was only temporary for Clay, but it would be Y/N's home for the next 6 months.
"We- we should get your stuff packed," Y/N said sadly. Clay nodded and set his backpack on his bed. While he packed things like tools and food, Y/N pulled out clothes for him to wear incase his were ever torn in a fight. She also picked out his neon green towel. She walked up to Clay and taped his shoulder.
"I think you might want these, dummy,"
"Yeeeaaahhh- your probably right," Clay stated, putting the clothes and towel in his bag.
"Probably?!" Y/N exclaimed, putting her hands on her hips. "Listen here, mister-."
"I'm joking!" Clay said, putting his hands in the air.
~~~~one week later, just before midnight~~~~
"Happy birthday, Clay-," Y/N said softly.
"Thanks Y/N...," Clay murmured. They were both siting under the stars, and Clays horse, Eclipse, was waiting for Clay.
"Here," Y/N handed Clay a rose, preserved in resin. "It's for you."
"Thanks. Did you do this?" Clay asked her taking the rose and looking it over.
"Mhm. I got the resin from Mr. Daniel the last time he was here," she told him. She looked over at the town clock. "It's midnight...," she whispered.
"Alright. Guess I gotta go then," Clay said as they both stood up. Clay embraced her tightly. "See you in six months."
"Mhm. Don't you forget," Y/N told him as he let go and walked over to Eclipse. Then he took off his neon green hoodie and put on a grey one he had waiting on Eclipses saddle and ran back over to Y/N. He handed her his hoodie.
"I won't. See you soon, Y/N," he said, giving her a small kiss on the head before running to get on Eclipse.
As he disappeared into the night, Y/N whispered, "Good bye, Dream. I'll see you soon." Then headed inside to her house.
She got upstairs where the new orphan, Jeulika ;who was 10, was sleeping. Y/N smiled at the small girl before sitting on her bed and falling asleep with that stupid neon hoodie Clay always wore.
