Chapter 4

Y/N rode her horse into the night. She found a small wood shack, left by a previous user. She tied up Sushi in the small fenced pen and went inside. In there was a bed, furnace, crafting table, a singular torch, a chest, and a stone block with carvings in it. Y/N approached the stone and looked at it. After getting a good look at it she gasped.

The stone had signatures from all different people. Some looked about 5 years old and some looked 20 weeks new. There were so many names.

'Dan, Aphmau, Stacy, LDShadow, Techno, Bad. Who are these people?' Y/N thought to her self before looking up in the corner of it. 'George, Nick, and Clay. Clay? He was here? No Y/N. He's dead to you. He broke a 7 year old pinky promise,"

Y/N yawned and went to lie down in the bed. She lay down and realized she still had on the green sweater that Clay had given her.

'Oh well,' Y/N thought to herself. 'I might forget him one day, but this is all I have left of him. I'm never getting rid of it.' She then fell into a dreamless sleep.

~~~early the next morning~~~

Y/N woke up and got ready to head out again. She glanced over at the chest and curiosity got the best of her. She opened it and in it was a book and quill, 64 torches, and some bread. She gathered up the torches and bread and put them into her bag. She then opened the book and read:

Hello fellow starters! My name is Dan! I built this shack for beginner travelers like me! The chest is wired to automatically refill on torches and bread when you take some so take all you want! (Put this book back though-)
You can fill in the blank pages with your own message for others to see! (Don't forget to carve your name into the stone to!

When Y/N read Clays passage she was so confused. Had Clay never intended to break the promise? Did something happen to him after he disappeared months ago? Y/N shook her head and wrote her own passage on the last page.

The book glowed white and the quill disappeared. When the book stoped glowing it had turned into a finished book.
Y/N set the book down in the chest and walked outside to saddle up Sushi. They had a long day of exploring to do.
