DILEMMA

Chapter 31

Suddenly out of the blue as we continue to pure the chemicals, a repeated sound beings ringing and causes a whole lot of noise through out the whole place.

The doctor walks up to me and says loudly and clearly for me to listen because their was a lot of noise, "Anna! They must be an emergency! I'll go check it out, stay here!" I'm so flustered, "what's going...." he cuts me as he turns and says, "I'll be back relax!"

I nod my head and watch him leave the laboratory. I close my ears trying not to listen to the hurting and irritating noise that's ringing all over the place. What could be happening? Maybe they caught Camilla or Jake. No I shouldn't think of such nonsense.

I should not wait here, I must go find out what's happening. I also leave the laboratory and head into the hallway which had plenty of people walking all around looking very busy. I look around and ask myself, "where am I gonna start from looking?" I head to the left and begin running, I'm running so fast and head into an elevator and in that elevator where other people who looked completely worried and very preoccupied. Two woman in lab coats begin discussing something. There was a tall blonde woman and a short dark haired woman. The tall blonde woman says, "hmmm what could be happening?" Her friend the short dark haired woman replies, "I've heard it's the control room that's been trespassed. Someone's in the control room and no one is allowed in there. But again I've heard it's the projects." She looks shocked immediately after the short dark haired woman says the project. No a rumors already spread that we're in here.

Do they know that we're in here? If they do we are gonna be in so much trouble and we won't be able to escape. The elevator door opens and I immediately get the hell out of the elevator, I'm storming through the hallway looking for Jake or Camilla. Where am I even at? This building is so big that I'm literally lost. Where could they be? Ooh I remember we said we would meet at the reception. I must head to the bottom of this building. I run to the elevator and quickly open the door. It opens and I head in, suddenly, the noisy ringing stops. What's happening? But the disadvantage is that the elevator door wasn't closing. "Shit!" I screech angrily while banging my hand to the wall. My heartbeat racing and my head hurting as I think of what to do.

I guess I'll use the stairs, Everyone looks very busy running up and done but what are they doing? I'm skeptically and inquisitively ask myself.

I stop a woman whose got medium  height and short blonde locks and she looks completely preoccupied and ask, "where's the staircase?" She points at the left side of the hallway and proceeds running. I head to where she's pointed quickly not wanting anyone noticing that I look really weird or suspicious. I'm running to the end of the hallway hoping to find the the stairs. I'm running so fast and unknowingly bump into someone, we both fall to the ground. I get up while saying, "sorry!" To find out it's Jake Miller.

His also getting up while brushing off some dust off his outfit. We stare into each other's eyes for a while. We both have small happy smiles, he slightly shakes his head while now widely smiling. We both suddenly hug each other tightly, "I was so scared." I whisper in his ear as I squeeze the life out of him, "me to Grace, I'm glad we've met!" His hugging me tightly and I hug back even tighter.

He lets go of me and says, "this is not the time to talk about this, we should get out of here." He holds my shoulders and I ask, "what about Camilla?" He replies instantly, "maybe she's down at the reception." I nod my head slowly and he pulls me to the staircase. We begin running down the stairs quickly, as we bump into people who are heading up the staircase and down the staircase.

We're running not caring about anything just wanting to get down. Jake holds my hands tightly not letting go the whole time as we're running. It took some time to run down the stairs and finally we're down.
