DILEMMA

Breakfast is so testy and delicious, mom always knows how to prepare the best meals.

Apparently, the talkative Jake Miller was so quiet and didn't make a sound and ate his breakfast as though not breathing.

Maybe his embarrassed about what almost happened yesterday, we might have kissed. My first ever kiss in this whole wild world. Jake Miller probably have had plenty of kisses.

He gets up and walks out not uttering a single word. His behaving utterly and absolutely weird.

Mom who was cooking at the stove walks over to me whose now done eating and about to get up. She sits next to me and states, "omg honey what's up with Jake?" She's also noticed his sudden weird behavior.

Should I tell her why Jake is behaving like this? No I can't I'm embarrassed to, she's gonna tease me about it. I usually tell her everything but I'll keep this one in.

"I don't know, maybe he didn't have a good morning." I suggest while starring at her shyly.

She stares and smiles then says, "you did something, didn't you?"
Her question makes me burn up literally burn up.

She smiles so widely while holding my brown hair and I had to ask her "done what?"

"Jake could never be upset with you honey." She states and quickly stands up.

I breath loudly and say, "mom what are you even saying? Jake..."
I'm now lost for words, I'm left speechless as I stare at mom who walks over to the zinc.

She turns around and leans against the zinc them exclaims, "Grace you're growing up it's okay to have a boyfriend.."

She's left me literally overwhelmed, flattered and embarrassed all at once.

"What mom what... what." I murmur under my breath but mom apparently hears.

She says as she begins washing the dishes, "honey don't be embarrassed about it, I mean Jake and you can make a good couple though."

The feeling of shyness and embarrassment is gone and now I'm feeling exhilaration and amusement.
Moms never talked about such stuff, boys or me having permission to engage in a relationship.

I stand up and walk towards her while asking, "what makes you think I wanna date Jake Miller mom?"
She spats out laughing really loud and states, "Honey please just admit it after all I've given you permission be happy about it. I would never allow you to date or have a boyfriend but I'll accept it because it's Jake Miller. Jake is a good boy and I like him for you.."

My cheeks are heating up and they are burning up literally burning. She likes Jake and she's noticed that I like Jake.
As I'm about to speak, We hear someone shout
"Grace!"
That scared me so very much.
Mom looks at me and her facial expression immediately changing from smily to scared.

She leaves the dishes in the zinc and walks off to the door and I follow right behind her.

Walk in the dark and dime hallway and into the large living room. When i head into the living room I notice everyone looking frightened.

Lucie is standing at the staircase, Paul apparently is sitting on the couch with his hand to his cheek, Jake Miller is sitting on the large brown table that table apparently is now the new couch in this mansion and Camilla is again as usual walking and panting back and fourth in this large living room.

They notice me and stare at us as though waiting for us to arrive. They all seem terrified and turmoil all at once.

Camilla walks towards me and mom and says nervously, "there is someone outside..."
