Chapter 13

"Hold on, Sam..."

DEAN'S POV

~WATERVILLE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT~

"And why are we here?" I ask Cas as we get out of the Impala. "A deputy sheriff laid eyes on the archangel." He says as I look at him confused. "And he still has eyes? All right, what's the plan?" I ask. "We'll tell the officer that he witnessed an angel of the Lord, and the officer will tell us where the angel is." He says.

"Seriously? You're going to walk in there and tell him the truth?" I ask, not liking his idea at all. "Why not?" He asks. "Because we're humans." I say as I pull out another fake ID and stash it inside his coat, then I adjust his coat and tie.

"And when humans want something really, really bad, we lie." I say to him as I finish. "Why?" He asks in confusion. "Because that's how you come President." I lie to him, smiling, then we go inside.

"Deputy Framingham?" I hear a woman ask as we enter. The voice sounding familiar.

No, it can't be...can it?

I wonder as I head around the corner my eyes land on her...Black pumps, nice long legs, the ass that my hands are so use to smacking, hugged in a pencil black skirt matched with a nice blue blouse, soft, curled blonde hair.

Skye.

"Hi. Alonzo Mosely, FBI. These are my partners, Hannah Wellington and Eddie Moscone." I say as I watch Skye turn around facing me, her eyes widening but then facing back as we show our badges, except Cas. I clear my throat to get his attached and he quickly grabs his badge and shows it. I sigh as it's upside down and I fix it for him. "He's, uh, he's new. Mind if we ask you a few questions?" Skye asks.

"Yeah, sure. Talk here, though." He says, indicating to his right ear as he leads us to his office. "Hearing's all blown to hell in this one." He chuckles. "That happen recently?" I ask. "Yeah. Gas Station. Why you're here, isn't it?" He asks.

"Yes, it is." Skye says as we sit down. "You mind just, uh, running us through what happened?" I ask. "A call came in. Disturbance out at the Pump and Go on Route 4." He says. "What kind of disturbance?" Skye asks. "Would not have believed my eyes if I hadn't seen it myself. We're talking a riot. Full scale." He says.

"How many?" Skye asks. "Thirty, forty, in all-out-kill-or-be-killed combat?" He thinks. "Any idea what set them of?" I ask. "It's angels and demons, probably." Cas blurts out, Skye slaps herself in the face and I shake my head. "Sorry son?" The cop asks. "They're skirmishing all over the globe." Cas goes on. "Come again? What did you say?" He asks. "Nothing." I say over Cas as he says "Demons." I glare over at Cas as he says "Demons." Again I say over him "Nothing." Finally getting him to shut up.

"Demons, you know, drink, adultery. We all have our demons, Walt." Skye says to him. "I guess." He says as he looks at us weird. "Anyway, what happened next." I ask. "Fucking explosion, that's what. They said it was one of those underground gas tanks, but, uh, I don't think so." He sighs. "Why not?" I ask.

"Wasn't your usual fireball. It was, um..." He sighs again. "Pure white." Castiel says.

My god Cas, shut the fuck up.

"Yeah. Gas station was leveled. Everyone was...it was just horrible. And I see this one guy, kneeling, real focused-like, not a damn scratch on him." The police office exclaims. "You know him?" I ask. "Donnie Finneman. Mechanic there." He says. "Let me guess, he just, uh, vanished into thin air?" Skye suggests.

"Uh, no, Kolchak. He's down at Saint Pete's." He says, Cas turns to me. "Saint Pete's." He winks and I roll my eyes. "Thank you." Skye says.

~LATER~

"Donnie." Cas whispers as we look into a room from the doorway where a man is sitting in a wheelchair, catatonic. "I take it that's not Raphael anymore." Skye says. "Just an empty vessel." He says. "So is this what I'm looking at if Michael jumps in my bones?" Skye says, the fear in her voice makes me want to wrap my arms around her and tell her everything is going to be okay.

"No, not at all. Michael is much more powerful. It'll be far worse for you." He says. "Cas!" I yell at him, glaring daggers at him.

3RD POV

~BOBBY'S HOME~

Sam has his laptop open to a calligraphed page of the Book of Revelation in Latin. Sam highlights a section and magnifies it, then picks up the phone and scrolls past Adele, Alana, Bobby, Butcher, Cassidy, Cory, Courtenay, Dan, Darilyn, Dean, Deborah, and Skye.

He stares at the highlighted number for a moment, (212) 555-0113, and scrolls to Skye.

"Sam?" Skye asks, over the phone. "hey Skye. How you doing?" Sam smiles. "Well ain't been an angel's skin yet." She sniffles. "Where are you?" She asks. "Uh, Garber, Oklahoma. I found a town up the road showing some Revelation omens." He says.

"What omens?" She asks. "All right, listen to this. And upon his rising there shall be hail and fire mixed with blood." Sam reads. "Well ain't that delightful." She scoffs. "Yeah. But we already got hailstorms and fire so I'm guessing blood can't be too far behind." Sam sighs.

"Okay." Skye says. "What?" Sam asks. "There a reason you're calling?" Skye asks. "Dean didn't tell you?" Sam asks. "he told me." She sighs. "Yeah. So I just thought you might want to find out who's in the area and put a man on this." Sam says.

Ever since Bobby's been put in a wheelchair he wants nothing to do with hunting so for now until we figure out a way for Bobby to walk again, Skye has been handling his work. "Okay, let me see if I can think of the best hunter who might be in the immediate vicinity...oh, that'd be you." Skye says.

"I can't, Skye. I'm sitting this one out." Sam sighs. "Sam..." "I gotta go. I'm sorry." Sam says as he cuts her off. "Hold on, Sam..." Before she could finish her sentence Sam hangs up, throwing down his phone.
