Chapter 37

"Number one, he's going to wipe us all out anyway. Two, after you leave here, I go on an extended vacation to all points nowhere. And three, how about you don't miss, okay morons!"

DEAN'S POV

"The demon Crowley is making a deal as we speak, it's going down." Castiel says over the phone. "Going down? Right. Okay, Huggy Bear, just don't lose him." I tell him as I look over at Sam and Skye who are laughing while eating ice cream at a picnic table by the lake.

"I won't lose him. I'm following him, it's not far, but it's layered in Enochian warding magic. Can't get in." He says annoyed.

"That's okay, you did great. We'll take it from here." I say to him before hanging up. "Skye! Sam! We got to go!" I holler over to them.

~MANSION – NIGHT~

I watch as Skye approaches the gate in her short, sexy black evening dress. She presses a button on what I am assuming is the intercom. I look over at Sam and he gives me a thumbs up, letting me know that the audio from Skye's mic that she has on under her dress is on and working. "Hello?" We hear a male voice. "Hello. My car broke down...I need some help." Skye says.

"I'll be down in a minute." The voice says as the gate swings open and two men approach. "Evening, pretty lady. Get yourself on in here." The taller one says, making my skin crawl. I just need to make a call." She says. "You don't need to call anyone, baby." A different male voice says. I growl and Sam hits my shoulder making me look at him. "She is fine." He says.

"We're the only help you're ever gonna need." The first voice from before says. "You know what? I think I should wait by my car." Skye says and I watch as she turns to go but the taller guy grabs her shoulder. "We said, get your ass in here." The second voice growls. "I'm going in." I growl but Sam slams me back in the seat. "Told you she has handled." He says as he points out the window and I look back out, seeing that she has flattened him and stabs the other through the throat with Ruby's knife.

"Nice work, Skye." Sam says through the mic that we have that connects us to Skye's. "Thanks." She says as Sam and I both get out and walk over to her. "Okay. Shall we?" I ask as I hand her the wire cutters.

~LIVING ROOM~

"So The Hardy family finally found me. Took you three long enough." Crowley chuckles as I point my shotgun at his back as Sam stands behind me holding Ruby's knife, while Skye is working on her part of the plan somewhere else in the mansion.

Crowley turns around and starts approaching but stops when he looks down at the rug that is rumpled. He kneels down and pulls the carpet up revealing a devil's trap. "Do you have any idea how much this rug cost?" He scoffs as I feel arms grab me, disarming me and pinning my arms behind my back.

Crowley pulls out the colt and points it at me. "This is it, right? This is what it's all about." He says before shooting the men holding Sam and I. "We need to talk privately." He says as he goes into another room, which Sam and I both grab our weapons and follow him.

"What the hell is this?" I ask, very confused. "Do you know how deep I could have buried this thing?" He asks as he waves his hands, shutting the door behind Sam and I. "There's no reason you or anyone should know this even exists, except that I told you." He says.

"You told us?" Sam asks. "Rumors, innuendo, sent out on the grapevine." He chuckles. "Why? Why tell us anything?" I ask. "I want you to take this thing to Lucifer and empty it into his face." He laughs.

"Uh-huh, okay, and why exactly would you want the devil dead?" I ask. "It's called survival. Well, I forgot you two at best are the function morons. Where is the sexy chick?" He asks. "Don't talk about her like that." I growl. "Lucifer isn't a demon, remember? He's an angel. An angel famous for his hatred of humankind. To him, you're just filthy bags of shit. If that's the way he feels about you, what can he think about us?" He says.

"But he created you." Sam says. "To him, we're just servants. Cannon fodder. If Lucifer manages to exterminate humankind, we're next. So, help me, huh? Let's all go back to simpler, better times, back to when we could all follow our natures. I'm in sales, dammit! So, what do you say if I give you this thing, and you go kill the devil?" He smirks as he holds out the colt, handle first.

Sam reaches, hesitantly to take it. "Great." "Great." Crowley smiles. "You wouldn't happen to know where the devil is, by chance, would you?" I ask. "Thursday, birdies tell me, there's an appointment in Carthage, Missouri." He says.

"Thanks." Sam says as he points the colt at Crowley and pulls the trigger only for it to click. "Oh, yeah, right, you'll probably need some more ammunition." Crowley chuckles. "Oh, uh, excuse me for asking, but aren't you kind of signing your own death warrant? I mean, what happens to you if we go up against the devil and lose?" I ask.

"Number one, he's going to wipe us all out anyway. Two, after you leave here, I go on an extended vacation to all points nowhere. And three, how about you don't miss, okay morons!" He yells as he throws a case at me. I catch it and open it up to find bullets for the colt. I look up to find him gone.
