Tara
I stared at myself in the mirror. "I've never worn a sari before."
The lilac sari looked stunning, especially the blouse and the sleeves, which were completely lace.
"Marina Khalla bought saris specially for you and me." Bhabi helped me pin it up properly. "She'll love it."
Bhabi herself wore a pink silk sari with a lace border that was covered with floral designs. The look suited her so much, and she looked beautiful. Ma Sha Allah.
However, our Talha Bhai's wife is so shy when she is complimented that her cheeks turn a strong shade of pink.
It was the day after Khalla and Amir Bhai had arrived, and we were all going out for dinner.
"Are you going to be fine now?" Bhabi asked. "My husband is probably panicking about what to wear, so I need to go and help him."
I smiled. "Sure, no worries. Thanks, Bhabi."
I adjusted the sari, and put on silver chandelier earrings that matched the necklace that I had chosen. Finally, I put on the kangan that Zain had gifted me. I had straightened my hair and it rested loose around my face.
The door of our suite opened and Zain walked in, looking dashing as ever. Ma Sha Allah. Wearing jeans, a white button-down shirt and a fitted grey sweater, he looked like he had just leaped out of a men's fashion magazine. And yes, I didn't fail to notice that he was wearing black polished shoes on the gorgeous white carpet of our suite.
