[Chiyu’s Penthouse]
“Hey there lover boy~ How was the date?” Chiyu teased as I entered her studio.
“G-good...I guess…” I croaked out, panting.
“A date with Himari, huh? Way to go, chief!” Masking said as she patted me on the back, which I could only wince back at from all of the staring eyes focused at me.
“I’m glad you had fun,” Rei said as she gave me a smile. “Now, what’s the emergency meeting about?”
“Right,” Chiyu said before taking a deep breath, “We’re gonna destroy Roselia and Poppin 'Party until they can’t see tomorrow!”
After a moment of concerned silence, I turned to Rei for translation, “She’s basically saying we’re gonna release a new music video.”
“Right… Thank goodness, for a second there I thought you were actually going to beat some people up. So what’s the new song?” I asked.
“Of course not, we’re musicians, not fighters. Although I think I could beat them up if I wanted too… Anyways, it’s got quite the cool rhythm to it! Give it a listen!” Chiyu replied as she pressed a few keys on her laptop, going through her files, allowing a fresh beat to blast through the speakers.
We all gathered around Chiyu’s laptop and listened intently to the new song. Not a single sound was made by anyone as we heard the final product.
“As expected of Chu2-sama! Her music is amazing!” Pareo exclaimed as she clasped her hands together excitedly.
“Yeah, I’ve gotta admit, it’s pretty cool. So you’re gonna play this at your next concert, right?” I asked.
“Yep! And you need to help us prepare for it!” Chiyu exclaimed as she got off her seat.
“Me? How?” I asked.
To be honest, I feel like I’ve been a terrible manager so far, having done nothing for them. Thinking about it, all I’ve done was acquainted with, made friends, and go on dates with their competitors. I should really be helping them out more.
“Well, from what I can see, you’re really good with music and stage setups. Your opinion and what we can do to improve on really helps us a lot, not to mention your eye for design,” Chiyu said smiling, nodding to her own words.
“But, aside from that…” she continued, with her smile vanishing instantly, “From what I've heard, you helped Morfonica and Poppin 'Party, but never us! What’s up with that?” Chiyu yelled, squinting her eyes at me, finally punching my right shoulder.
“Ow! Hey! They asked me for help, alright? And what was I supposed to do? Ignore them?” I replied as I clutched onto my right shoulder.
“Well, regardless, you are our manager, and should stay loyal to us!” Chiyu yelled back, strongly emphasizing the word ‘our’.
“That’s true, it seemed like you desperately wanted to help them, seeing how easily and quickly you agreed to it. Not even a moment of hesitation was seen,” Pareo said as she gave me a devilish smile.
“What? That is not true… Wait, how did you know I helped them anyways?” I asked, “I don’t recall telling anyone in this group that.”
“I had Pareo stalk you around the whole day.” Chiyu simply replied, not even looking up from her computer screen.
I gulped as a chill ran down my spine. I took a step back and sighed. “First of all, that’s creepy and an invasion of my privacy. Secondly, since when have you started that? Thirdly, I just like helping others out, ok?”
