[Tsukushi's POV]
I bluntly played the drums with a dull expression on my face. I couldn't focus during practice at all, my head spinning, full of thoughts about (Y/N), why he ditched me last time, and who that girl on the phone was. I was upset with him because he left right as I was about to ask him out. He probably went to see a girl...I don't think I have a chance anymore...
"Tsukushi, what's wrong? You're not like yourself today." Mashiro said, looking at me with a concerned look.
"Maybe we should take a break? You don't look so hot." Touko said, putting down her guitar.
"N-no! I'm fine! J-just have a slight problem..." I mumbled, slightly pouting.
"It's not good to think too much, tell us what it is, and we'll hear you out," Mashiro said, giving Tsukushi a warm smile.
"Thanks, guys...so the thing is..." I went ahead and explained what happened with (Y/N), and my true feelings towards him.
"Oh, so that's the problem," Rui commented after listening. "That explains why you sulked lifelessly when we were practising. You usually pour your heart and soul into the drums, it was odd seeing you like that," she continued with a chuckle.
"Was I that obvious?" I asked, furrowing my brows.
"Yes you were, we all knew something was up, you're usually super cheerful and confident," Mashiro said. "Thank you for telling us what was wrong."
"No no, I should be thanking you guys, thank you for listening to me," I said, blushing at the fact that I halted the practice just because I was thinking about (Y/N).
"Well, if you like him so much, why don't you ask him out on a date?" Nanami suggested, addressing the elephant in the room. All of the others nodded in agreement, looking at me to further explain.
"Well, why don't you ask him now?" Mashiro asked.
"Oh, good idea," I responded, taking out my phone, trying to look for (Y/N)'s number in my contacts.
"Agreed. Before someone else takes (Y/N) away." Rui said, taking a slight glance at Touko, who had been pouting a bit since their conversation.
"Well, the thing is, I tried asking (Y/N), but it's like the universe doesn't want me to," I explained, still searching.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Rui pressed on, looking genuinely confused.
"I tried asking (Y/N) several times, but with each attempt, I got completely shut down. (Y/N)'s phone rang several times and then just ran off with a barely plausible explanation," I continued, finally finding (Y/N)'s number in my contacts. "Ah, there you go, I found (Y/N)'s number, what should I say?"
"Wait!" Touko screamed, quickly grabbing my phone.
"What?" I yelled back. "Give it back! You guys are the one who told me to text (Y/N)!"
"Are you sure you want to ask (Y/N) out after treating you like that? (Y/N) basically ignored you and treated you like a pile of dirt that you can find on the side of the road. I don't think (Y/N) is worth your time," Touko said harshly.
"Geez, that was a bit harsh, but you do have a point," I said, pausing to think about her words.
"Well, although what Touko said might be true, I do think that everyone deserves a second chance. Don't you think so, Tsu?" Nanami said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, that's true. He deserves a second chance!" I said as Touko reluctantly returned my phone.
I called him, and after a few rings, (Y/N) picked up.
