“I got my date with Himari this weekend, huh?” I said to myself as I prepared to head home. With no basketball practice and manager work today, I could head home early and maybe spend some time with Asuha, which I haven’t been doing lately.
“Hey (Y/N)~!” a voice called me from behind. I turned around to see Tsukushi and her bandmates, whom I was also fairly close with.
“Oh hey girls! Are you going to practice?” I asked.
“Yep! We’re headed to CIRCLE!” Nanami replied. “Oh, (Y/N)! Why don’t you come with us? The other bands might be there!”
“Oh, sure! I don’t see why not I guess.” I texted Asuha that I was going to be late again, and headed to CIRCLE with Morfonica.
[ at CIRCLE ]
When we arrived at CIRCLE, I was ambushed into a hug by Kasumi. “(Y/N)! Mashiro told us you were coming, so we decided to surprise you!”
“Oh wow, what a surprise...haha...” I said as I hugged Kasumi back. “Do you guys usually practice here too?”
“No, we practice in my basement, where we have a little studio setup, but since we got news that you were coming… Kasumi and *Saaya* insisted that we come here.” Arisa said as she emphasized Saaya’s name, eyeing her intensely, making Saaya’s cheeks flush red.
“W-well whatever the case, we wanted you to watch us practice!” Saaya said as she smiled brightly. “We heard about all the helpful tips you give to Ras, so we figured you could help us too!”
“Sure, I don’t see why not. I didn’t have anything else going on anyway,” I replied. “While I’m at it, I’ll help you guys too, if you need any, that is.”
“We really appreciate it!” Tsukushi said as both bands entered the studio.
[1 hour later, Saaya’s POV]
I eyed (Y/N) as he gave both Morfonica and my band advice. Luckily, he wasn’t too close to any of the girls, other than Tsukushi. They would quite oftenly make skinship with each other, and whenever (Y/N) was watching us play, they would make eye contact with each other.
‘Did Tsukushi already take away my chance…?’ I asked myself as I continued playing. As I continued to get all sorts of thoughts, I couldn’t focus on practice at all. ‘I like him..and I don’t want anyone else to have him...!’
“Saaya! What’s wrong? You’ve been off tempo the whole session! This isn’t like you… ” Kasumi said as she walked over to me.
“Are you alright?” Arisa asked. “Maybe we should take a break?”
“I-I’m fine guys don’t worry about it,” I replied. “But if we’re taking a break, here!” I took out a bag of pastries and set them down on the table.
“Oooh~! Fresh pastries!” Kasumi said as everyone rushed over to the table to pick out a pastry of their choice.
As I saw that (Y/N) was trying to get a pastry of his own, I tugged on his arm and signalled him to follow me outside. (Y/N) looked confused, but he soon followed me outside. Once we were alone, outside the studio, I took a deep breath before talking.
“So uhm, (Y/N), do you know why I called you out here, by any chance?” I asked nervously, while fidgeting my hands.
“No, not at all. I’m kinda curious and excited though, mind telling me what it is?” (Y/N) smiled, tilting his head a bit.
“W-well..it’s nothing too big… but I want you to have this…” I replied as I handed him one of my yellow scrunchies, blushing like crazy, avoiding his gaze. “A-and...I want you to have it on you the whole time...please?”
“Oh um, sure. A little weird for a guy to have a scrunchie, but I don’t see why not. Thanks Saaya, I’ll cherish this for the rest of my life!” (Y/N) said as he grinned and put it around his wrist.
“ Aww, thanks (Y/N). Let’s head back in?” I said as he and I headed back in.
“Of course,” (Y/N) said, holding the door for me.
[1 hour later, (Y/N)’s POV]
As it began to get late, the bands decided to call it a day, and we parted ways. As I headed back home, I looked at the scrunchie Saaya gave me. What could it possibly mean? Maybe I should ask Asuha when I get back home. As I was heading back, I spotted two familiar looking girls heading home. One had sakura pink hair, while the other had light blue sky hair. It was Aya and Kanon, both from two different bands that I had met a few days ago.
“Hey (Y/N), what a coincidence! Are you heading back home too?” Aya asked.
“Yep! Are you guys heading back too?” I said.
“Y-yeah, we work at the same fast food restaurant,” Kanon replied nervously.
“Oh, I see. Oh by the way, can I ask you girls something?” I asked. Maybe Aya and Kanon might know about the scrunchie. “What does it mean when a girl gives you a scrunchie?”
Aya and Kanon examined the scrunchie. “Oh, simple. It means a girl likes you. She wants you for herself~!” Aya squealed.
“Woah, seriously…? Didn’t think it had a special meaning...I guess I was wrong…” I said as I looked at the scrunchie.
“O-oh..if you don’t mind me asking, who gave that to you..?” Kanon asked in a sad tone.
“Huh? Oh uhm… Saaya did. Why?” I asked, curious.
“No reason..! No reason at all,” Kanon replied, blushing slightly.
“Well thanks for telling me. I gotta get going, it’s kinda late. I’ll see you guys next time!” I said as I waved and kept walking home.
[Aya’s POV]
“Ara ara~ That’s another competitor for you~!” I said with a smug look on my face.
“Y-yeah, maybe I have no chance…” Kanon sighed, replying with no energy.
“Don’t worry you’ve got this. You gotta use your girly side, you know~ Like your hair, cute style, or these~” I said as I groped her breasts from behind.
“Eep~! Don’t do that!” Kanon yelped, blushing madly.
“Hehe~ Sorry! But seriously, you gotta improve your game, or it’ll be too late.” I advised, looking at her.
“Yeah, and I think I may know what to do…” Kanon replied as she smiled.
“R-really? That’s nice…” I said as the guilt in my heart grew slightly bigger.
