Henry rode back to the farm sadly. He was broken hearted over the fact that he would probably never see Evie again. He was madly in love with her, and he knew that they would never be together. When he made it back he saw Mal and Mike feeding the horses hay. So Henry got off his horse and let him eat some of the hay.
"Hey Henry, do you know who's horse this is?" Mike asked him.
Henry turned his head to see Mike holding onto the reins of Evie's horse. "She's Evie's. I'll take her back to her tonight. And I'll get a chance to say a proper goodbye to her." He answered sadly.
"Speaking of the princess, where is she?" Mal asked.
"Her fiance found us, and they took her away." Henry replied.
Mal just listened to him sadly. "I'm sorry about that. I know how much you two love each other."
Henry sent her a small smile before going up to the loft. He laid down on the bed just thinking about Evie. He could, so clearly, remember seeing Evie for the first time. He knew right from the start that she was his true love. Why couldn't the king see that? After waiting for the day to end and the night to come, Henry got on his horse and led Evie's horse to the castle. He made sure to keep out of sight from all the guards.
Henry snuck over to the stables, but suddenly stopped when he heard singing coming from inside. He peeked his head through the entrance to the stable, to see Evie sitting down while running through her fingers through her hair while singing. Henry walked in with Evie's horse right behind him, and he cleared his throat getting Evie's attention.
"Henry! What are you doing here?" She asked standing up and running over to hug him.
"You left your horse. I came to return her, and say goodbye." Henry said hugging her back before he handed Evie her horse's reins.
"Goodbye? But I'm not ready to do that. I'll never be ready for that." Evie said as tears begin to form in her eyes. Henry tried his best to avoid eye contact, knowing that if he looked Evie in her eyes, he would start crying too. "Even if this is the last time I see you, I will always love you."
Evie then cupped his cheeks as she kissed him. Henry so obviously kissed her back. Putting as much passion as he could into it. Neither of them wanted to pull away from each other.
"There he is! Take him away from the princess!" They heard Chad yell before Henry was forced away from Evie.
"Chad, no! Don't do this! You promised that you would let him go!" Evie yelled out desperately.
"And I told him to stay away from you!" Chad yelled back at her. "I knew he would come back here! Take him to the king!"
The guards nodded their heads before taking Henry to the castle. Evie sobbed as she was forced to watch the man she loved be dragged away from her. "How could you do this?! I love him!" She yelled at him.
"Princess, I am just doing what your father has commanded." Chad told her.
Evie shook her head at him before running off towards the castle and to her room where she cried her eyes out. Chad then followed the guards who had Henry, to the throne room, where the king was sitting on his throne yet again.
"Ah! So you have found him! Excellent work, Chad." The king praised the prince. "Now, you are the man who has been forbidden to see my daughter, yet has continued to disobey a direct command from the king! Take him down to the dungeons, I never want to see his face again. He can rot in there for all I care!"
The guards then took Henry down below the castle and threw him in a cell, locking him in there. Henry sat against the wall, with his head in his hands. He knew that he should have stayed away from Evie, but the two of them loved each other too much to stay away from each other. And now, he knew for sure, that he would never see Evie again.
A/N: I know, I know, this was short. But I was running very low on inspiration so this was all I was able to write. But please, let me know what you thought. Until the next chapter!!!
