Rhapsody

Chapter:- 18✧*。

Will woke up to find a void by his chest. The soothing warmth had been replaced by the hairy tail of his dog.

"Lola get off the bed! You're literally feeding me your fur" , said Will annoyingly and got out of the bed. His eyes automatically searched for Ella but she was nowhere to be seen.

He walked outside the bedroom to find her sitting on the couch from upstairs. She perfectly fit into his life. He didn't care what came next but he would make her understand his love was as real as the day.

"Good morning", he chirped. "Morning , you didn't answer my question yesterday", replied Ella sternly.

"Thanks for taking care of me yesterday. I loved to paint as a kid and decided to make it my life as well, as you can see. The friends you saw at the bar was the gang I hung out with since my college days. They were lovely and supportive till they saw that I was a natural and entirely devoted to my passion. Then they showed me their real colour. It was exactly the way they treated you at the bar. I was always laughed at and tortured for me having a weak body while they were already well developed. One day I rescued a stray puppy from their brutal treatment. They were throwing stones and what not at the little fur ball. She was crying. Her family had abandoned her. I jumped in and covered her with my body. I beared with the kicks and stones till they left me and I took her in. I named her 'Lola'. She was my first love. Once I grew up, I chose painting as my profession. Again after a long time, I accidentally found them at the bar and they had the worst aura around them. I wanted to take revenge for that day when they had hurt my dog and we fought till I was drained. I was no longer a weakling. But tears slipped out midway and they gave me that horrible nickname. Everything went well till I saw that Lola had been kidnapped. It was on the night I proposed you for a date. I lost my temper and searched for her all night. I went into the bar to find them drinking and making merry. I pounced on Greg, the leader, and he said if I killed him; I would never find Lola. So in return I had to bring the woman I loved and humiliate her in front of them to get Lola back. That's it. This is all of it " said Will.

Ella picked up her bag and walked out the door releived to know that he was a very good dog owner indeed. His only flaw was that he was a player who switched girls from time to time. She would never be able to accept that.

"Wait Ella. You don't want to say anything ? You're leaving even after hearing that I hold a place for you in my heart ? ", asked Will.

"I'm happy to know that you are a really responsible dog owner but I can't accept a person who switches girls from time to time. So, I'm sorry Will. I'm sure you will forget a flawed person like me soon and will welcome your true desired soulmate instead", said Ella and turned away from him.

"What if I say that person is you, Ella...", whispered Will in her ear. Ella's ear was again heating up and she fought for her heart.

"How can I explain to you Will that I can't allow my heart to fall for you any further than it already has? So please don't invade any further. I can't allow myself to get cheated on by my love for another woman. So it's better I get out of your life once and for all" ,sobbed Ella.

"That lipstick mark you saw on my neck was also a disgusting task that Greg had forced me to do with a random woman to humiliate you further. That's all. Nothing more. I love you and that's all. And just you. There's no one who has ever captured me like you've done with your genuine nature. You can see my walls. They're filled with your portraits. That's how much I think about you. You're the most beautiful woman for me. I accept you as you are. I'm going to put them up in my studio soon or maybe apply for an exhibition in an art gallery. You've brought joy and peace in my life. So there's no one but you, Ella. Is this much enough or do I need to blabber more?", sighed Will.

"I love you too, Silly-Willy. Your charms hit me in the heart from the day you stepped into 'Rhapsody'. I have learnt a lot from you. So thanks for fighting for me and Lols", winked Ella.

"You sure are hard to convince, my lady. You're also a dog person I guess?", laughed Will.

"Yeah , I am the proud master of my four fur balls. By the way how did you manage to put me on your bed yesterday? I'm not zero-figure like other girls you know", asked Ella.

"You're not as heavy as you say and I'm not as lean as you see!", said will showing his biceps.

"I can prove it to you now. Shall we continue the rest  of the talking in my bedroom?" , asked Will chuckling.

"Sure. But don't put so much strain on your …", Ella's sentence finished midway as she was hoisted up in the arms of Will and whisked away to his bed.
