Reading all the romance novels available in the nearest library and on her Kindle made Cinderella reel with the thoughts of handsome men wooing away beautiful girls. All stories she had read followed the same suit as if the people with a flawed appearance didn't deserve to be loved at all. She sighed and hoped that one day her Prince Charming would come and woo her as well but she was sure when the day came he would run away screaming just by looking at her.
Locking her apartment and heading to her world famous spa 'Rhapsody' after a good ear scratch to her four musketeers inside was the only thing that kept her from slipping into depression.
Once greeting the pretty receptionist Katie was over she rushed to see her friend and the other masseuse Cynthia. She was just like Cinderella but a bit better in everyway relating to body. Though Cynthia was under Cinderella's supervision and guidance as she was the 'Masseuse In Most Demand' , she was a good friend.
"Hey cutie! Whatzup? You look a bit soggy today ." Though she had the same plump thighs and a soft tummy, she called her Ella. "Yeah, just completed reading another one of the novels and got more depressed. I think I will spend my life as a spinster at the most", sighed Cinderella.
" You need to go out and hang out with people. The novels are not real. They never happen in real life. If you read more of it it will only make you loathe and push you to daydream nonsense. Love is a feeling and it is real unlike that. And let me tell you, Prince Charming does not exist. Even if they do they are dummies. You on the other hand are a very intelligent and beautiful maiden.",said Cynthia.
"In a city like New York pooling with pretty girls and handsome men people like me don't stand a chance. The first string always comes from physical attraction and I know and have seen it", spat Ella.
She stormed off to her first client of the day and was happy to release some stress from the person's face but was dejected when it was over just without any comments as usual. Though she got to serve thousands of good looking men none of them were as good and kind as the ones explained in the novels from inside, and that couldn't be denied.
