"You have a clever and straightforward mouth and I appreciate that", said Will.
"Keep your sweet talks to yourself. Your appointment is over. You may grab a brownie and leave. I don't like cheating men moreover", spat Ella.
Will grabbed a brownie and finished it in two bites. But he was showing no signs of leaving the place anytime soon. Ella was getting frustrated.
"Yeah, she is really an important part of my life. You will adore her too when you meet her", smiled Will.
"How dare you speak of another woman in front of me. Reserve your talks for her tonight and leave", she scorned.
"You are getting worked up real good. Would you mind attending a party at 'The Betsy's' ? All my friends will also be there. Moreover you can also have some fun", winked Will.
Ella wanted to wipe off that smirk playing at the edge of his lips. "If you are that eager to insult me, why do you have to work so hard to humiliate someone in public when you can do it now: in front of me? On top of it when you have your partner waiting at home for you, why do you have to bother a misshapen girl like me?", asked Ella.
Just when the last few words flew out of her mouth in a fit of rage, she found herself in the embrace of Will. She couldn't help but savour the feeling of warmth radiating from him. Somehow she couldn't think of him as cheating on anyone or insulting someone on purpose.
"Please don't put me down on my offer. Whatever image you are making up of me in your mind is far from reality. I will be happy if you can see the real person and not the image in your mind", said Will.
Ella could sense the sincerity in his words and the same hint of sadness from before that had shadowed his eyes. The feeling of helplessness crept over her and she simply said, " Will, I am confused. Though I know I'll be trampled over, I'll come. Already my appearance is flawed I can't allow my soul to get affected by it too. So I will come", whispered Ella.
The hug seemed to deepen by the minute and Ella was sure that if she didn't move soon, Will would fall asleep over her shoulders.
