Imagination

Seconds became minutes, minutes became hours, hours became days, and eventually those days added up into 3 weeks.

Asami stood in front of the mirror above her dresser, trying to calm herself down from the panic attack she was having.

Normally Korra was there to help her, but this time Korra was the cause of it.

She blinked and opened her eyes slowly, and behind her reflection Korra stood there.

"I didn't want to leave," Korra put a hand on Asami's shoulder and their reflections made eye contact.

"Your lying! You never cared!" Asami turned around to look at Korra but saw nothing there. Once she turned back to the mirror, she was behind her again.

"Yes I did. And I still do, Sami," Korra wrapped her arms around Asami's shoulders.

"Don't call me that!" Asami shrugged her arms away, just like Korra had done to her when she left. "You aren't real! Your just part of my imagination!"

"I am real. So is everyone else. So stop acting like I'm the only one who exists," Korra watched as Asami started running her hands through her hair.

"I'm not acting like no one else exists! Your just the only person who exists that matters to me!" Asami started to pace in front of the mirror. "Couldn't you see that? Why'd you leave me? What's so wrong with me, Korra?"

"Nothing is wrong with you. I just don't feel the same. And I never will," Korra looked down.

"Get out of my head!" Asami stood in front of the mirror and used her right hand to steady herself against the dresser.

"I love you, Sami," Korra whispered directly into Asami's ear.

Asami cracked. She started to hit the mirror where Korra was standing with her fists, screaming and crying.

After a few minutes she looked at the mirror, her hand bleeding from the broken glass. Her eyes were red and her face was flushed, but Asami didn't notice any of that. She only noticed one thing.

Korra was gone.

"I told you....just a part of my imagination."
