Asami stood up and walked until she stood three feet away from Korra. Asami took in the girl's appearance.

Her hair was only shoulder length, framing her now strong jaw. Through the black button up shirt, Asami could see how big her biceps were. The way the shirt hugged every single muscle....

She wore dark blue suit pants that her shirt was tucked into, all tied together with a brown belt.

"Are you gonna say anything or just stare at me?" Korra said, laughing.

God....Asami never thought she'd hear that laugh again or see that smile. But she didn't let anything overtake her anger.

She walked up to Korra and punched her in the face, but Korra didn't even react. Suddenly Asami broke down in tears and started punching Korra's chest.

"I hate you!" Asami cried, speaking for the first time ever since Korra left her. "I fucking hate you! Why did you leave me? I hate you....I hate you...."

Asami kept hitting Korra's chest until she tired herself out, and soon she collapsed, still gripping the collar of Korra's shirt.

"I hate you....I hate you....I hate you....I....I....love....you...." Asami's voice became small again, and now she was just crying into Korra's chest.

"I...I know," Korra said. "But I'm here now. I'm right here Sami. And I'm never letting you go. I...I love you too," Korra admitted. Their eyes met for what seemed like the first time.

Before Korra knew what was happening, she pulled Asami in for a kiss and their lips met.

It was like gravity stopped. Like nothing else in the world mattered. Nothing else in the world needed to matter, because Korra was right here with....

She stopped her thoughts once again. She couldn't let her feelings get in way of the mission. Well she could...just for the time being.

She pulled away and looked into Asami's eyes.

"You are so beautiful...have I ever told you that?" Korra asked. Asami shook her head and closed her eyes. Before long she fell asleep in Korra's arms.

Korra lifted Asami up like she was a baby and carried her to the couch, slowly sitting down and cradling Asami in her lap.

The front door opened and Bolin came in.

"Hey Asam-" Bolin stopped when he saw Korra sitting on the couch. She motioned for him to go upstairs and wait for her, that she'd explain soon.

He reluctantly went up the stairs as Korra tried to get out of Asami's tight hold. Once she was finally up, she took off her suit jacket and laid it over Asami like it was a blanket.

~~~~~~
Korra knocked on Bolin's bedroom door before opening it. He was lying in bed, shirtless, practicing something on a drum pad.
"Hey, Bo...." Korra said sheepishly. He stopped playing and glared up at her.
"Why are you here?" he asked. Korra suddenly felt nervous for some reason.
"I needed time to myself. I finally have my life figured out, I finally feel good enough for Asami," Korra partially lied. She knew what to do when something like this happened.
She suddenly remembered why she was nervous. Bolin and Mako had been adopted by Asami's parents when they were only two and four years old. They had become orphans after their parents were murdered, so Asami was family to them.
"Imagine my surprise when I come home to see my sister asleep on the couch with the girl who broke her heart!" Bolin snapped. Who did Korra think she was? She wasn't here this whole time and showed up out of nowhere.
"I...I know I messed up really bad, but-" Korra began to speak only to be cut off by Bolin standing up in front of her.
"Korra...she hasn't spoken to anyone for the past few years. She hasn't eaten a single thing, and I had to force her to drink water. At one point she tried...she tried to end her life at one point. She was so heartbroken," Bolin didn't like to think about it. He hadn't heard Asami give her usual tiny knock on the door to let him know she was okay, so he broke the door down.
Inside he found Asami completely unconscious with an empty pill beside her. He remembers the ride in the ambulance so clearly....he remembers the doctors trying to restart her heart.
Korra on the other hand felt a sharp stab of pain in her heart when she heard what Asami did. She hated that she wasn't here to comfort Asami....in fact she knew she was the reason why Asami was so broken.
Korra promised herself she would fix Asami. Even though she knew at some point she'd have to kill her.
