One Vs One
"Now the moment you all have been waiting for! The One on One finals!" Port announced as the crowd went wild. Lupin leaned against the nearby wall, watching from a distance. "Barty why don't you explain the rules!"
"It's quite simple! Instead of having a bracket, the match will be randomly determined immediately, right before the match takes place!" Oobleck explained quickly.
"Like any good hunt, there is no time to prepare!" Port said proudly.
"AH! Yes yes! Now let's see who the first match will be!" Oobleck said pointing.
The screens then flipped through all of the contestants. Until it landed on Mercury Black, and Yang Xiao Long. Port then proceeded to repeat the appeared names.
"Legs VS Arms it is then." Lupin muttered standing straighter.
"Would all other Combatants please leave the stage." Port asked politely.
The lights then raised and pointed at the two, as they closed the distance. Port counted down before the match started, both combatants holding their own against each other. Mercury seeming to be looser in combat though than Yang. Seeming to be faster and more controlled, than Yang's stiff and wild movements. But that didn't stop Yang from winning.
"What a way to kick off the finals!" Port said happily.
It seemed fine, until it wasn't. Yang suddenly whirled around and preceded to fiery punch Mercury's leg. Mercury was then on the ground clutching his leg.
"My word!" Oobleck shouted panicked.
"Cut the cameras!" Port ordered looking behind.
The crowd was then beginning to 'boo', hiss and shout obscenities , and Lupin felt as though he was breathing in the negative emotions.
"Ah! My leg! My leg!" Mercury shouted clutching his leg.
"That's what you get you little-!" Yang started only for guards to gather around Yang.
"Yang Xiao Long! Stand Down!" The guards shouted.
"What!? Why?!" Yang ordered confused.
"Why'd she do that?! Why'd she attack me?!" Mercury asked seeming to be close to tears.
Emerald then looked at Yang with anger in her eyes.
The Camera repeated the showing of Mercury walking up to Yang as if to shake her hand only for Yang to turn around and deliver the fiery punch to Mercury's leg.
Lupin frowned watching it over again. "God damnit Yellow. Why?"
"He attacked me I swear!" Yang tried.
"Yang Xiao Long, Stand down!" The guards repeated.
Paramedics came running out with a stretcher.
"Please somebody help him!" They called out. "Can you help him!?"
"We need to take him to the hospital." The two helped him over to the stretcher before taking him away.
Lupin frowned before turning and walking away.
Lupin leaned against the wall as Ironwood came out of RWBY's room.
"Lupin...." Ironwood said looking at the boy with long violet hair. "What are you doing here?"
"Iron Britches." Lupin said grinning. "Coming to check up on Yellow." Lupin said pushing off the wall. "But your Robo-Guards wouldn't let me in. So I was stuck waiting in the hall." Lupin hung his head in mock depression. "They were so rude! I thought they were supposed to be nicer, more approachable!"
