Dreams of Old Friends

Lupin hummed looking outside the library window, seeing a large incoming of Atlas Military ships.

"Geez, Iron Britches seems to be rather on guard." Lupin muttered to himself, lightly touching his chin with a humm.

Suddenly behind him appeared a girl, with waist long red hair, and bright neon green eyes, but they seemed dull, almost doll like. She wore a green jacket, dark brown skirt, and dark green shirt. On her feet were green socks that reached her ankles and brown boots. The girl looked to be no older than 9, standing about the same height at Lupin however.

"Luuuuuppppppiiiiiiinnnnnnn~" The girl sang smiling leaning over to look at the boy as she wrapped her arms around his waist, and hugging him close. Around her everyone disappeared until it was just Lupin and her.

"Hazel?" Lupin questioned shifting in his seat to look at the girl from where he was near the window. "Hazel what's going on?"

"We're disappointed in you. You survived while we didn't." The girl Hazel said scowling, pulling away and Lupin turned completely to face the girl.

"I don't-" Lupin started only for someone to grab him and shove him to the floor. Looking over he saw another person.

A boy, slightly smaller than Lupin, no older than the girl in front of him. His hair a dark blue, eyes a sky blue, dull and doll like the girl. He wore a jacket that ended just above his stomach, in a dark blue. His shirt was white with periwinkle stripes. His pants were light gray, and he wore blue sneakers. He looked rather similar to Lupin in a way.

"You should know what we're talking about." The boy sneered with a smile on his face, and a tilt of his head.

"Please, I-I'm sorry, Jay, I didn't-" Lupin started only for the boy to grab his face and pull him in close.

"You're so close, yet you do nothing." the boy, Jay hissed the smile on his face fading, as he pushed Lupin away.

"You survived, we did not." Hazel added stepping on Lupin's stomach to keep him from getting up as the two looked down on Lupin. Other people, a total of 20 people appeared, all different stood around him, glaring and shouting insults at Lupin.
"Why did you survive!"

"We should have too!"

"Why is it only you!"

Lupin panicked and covered his ears and tried to pull himself out from under Hazel's shoe, but couldn't seem to. Lupin's panic seemed to set in as tears formed in his eyes. "Stop it! Stop! I-I'm trying!"

"Not hard enough." Hazel said scowling.

"You should try harder." Jay muttered.

"I-I will!" Lupin muttered, "B-But what are you talking about. Wh-what am I not trying hard enough?"

"Kill Ozpin."

"Kill Ozpin!"

This seemed to set off all the other people around him, they all started chanting the one phrase.

"I-I will! I will! I'll Kill him! I will, please! Please! Just stop!" Lupin cried making all the voices stop. Silence rained over the boy as his violet eyes opened, and before him were Hazel and Jay. Both looking at him with their dull eyes. "H-How.... How are you here? How did you all show up?" Lupin asked tears sitting in his eyes, as the girl retracted her foot and stepped back.

"We are not here." Jay replied, unblinking.

"You are dreaming." Hazel said making Lupin's violet eyes widen in shock.

"But Lupin remember..." The two said in unison. "Kill Ozpin."

"Lupin..." A voice called out. "Lupin!"

"Stop! Stop! Who's calling me!" Lupin screamed.

"Stop!" Lupin screamed, jolting awake. However when he did, he slipped from his position and fell to the ground with a thump. The book in his lap falling to the ground as well. "Owww..." He groaned falling onto his back.

Ruby stood above him, brows furrowed in confusion. "Lupin?"

"Oh, hello Red, what can I do for you?" Lupin asked smirking, as he sat up on the ground.

"Well, you fell asleep." Ruby explained giving a nervous smile. "And you seemed like you were in a lot of pain. So I thought I should wake you." Ruby gestured around. "And it's night so you should go to your dorm room."

Lupin looked around and found that indeed it was dark out, and the library was now empty.

"So it is red. Thanks." Lupin stood up and picked up the book he was reading and brushed himself off.

"You... You seemed to be in a lot of pain. Were you having a nightmare?" Ruby asked with concern written all over her face.

Lupin scowled at the question. "I don't want your pity here red." Lupin growled, his fear tightening in his gut. "I'm not a child that needs to be taken care of. Nor do I see how what I dream makes any difference to you." Lupin turned and moved to put his book away, his anger disappearing quickly as he looked over to see Ruby putting away her game. Moving slowly, he walked over and helped her pick some of it up. "It's a dream Red, it doesn't matter." He finally said, feeling the fear in his gut start to unwind.

Ruby picked up her game box and looked over at him. "But it did seem really bad."

Lupin gave her a lopsided smirk. "And I said it didn't matter. I'm over it Red. Believe me."

"If... If you say so." Ruby said giving a nervous smile.

"Really, I'm telling you, it's nothing." Lupin smirked. "Anyway, we're going to go walk you back to your little grandmother's house to make sure no big bad wolves getcha' Red. Because I'm a gentle man."
"Uuuuuuuhhhhhh......" Ruby said confused.

"Let's a go, Red." Lupin called walking away.

"H-Hang on! What did you mean?!" Ruby asked running after him.

"Don't worry about it." Lupin called back. "You won't understand!"

"Maybe I will!" Ruby called as they walked through the halls.

However as they walk out, Ruby continued, but Lupin stopped and looked back.

(Kill Ozpin!)

(Don't Fail us.)

(I won't I promise I wont. I'll avenge you both. I promise.) Lupin thought.

"Lupin?" Ruby called making the boy look back at the girl in red. "Something wrong?"

"Not a thing Red. Let's go before the Great Oz finds us breaking curfew." Lupin smirked as they went along.
