Nathanial's POV:

17th century

"Looks like the Observer has finally arrived." Nathanial could hear the vampire counsel make a remark as he walked in. He really didn't care much; he knew all they wanted was a fight and Nathanial was in no mood to give them one. Nathanial made his way to the back where all the lesser demons, vampires, witches, and werewolves were seated. The vampire prince gestured for him to come forth and sit beside him but Nathanial ignored his request. Nathanial wasn't a fool who will just sit beside the vampire prince when every alpha of every werewolf clan is present. Not to mention in the presence of the Demon Lord and the Dark Queen. The underworld believes they are different from humans. However, to Nathanial, all of them were just power hungry creatures. If Nathanial sat beside the vampire prince then the next thing would be an all-out war between werewolves and vampires. Having him take a side is the ultimate win. He was something they weren't and something that they wished to be. Nathanial set upon a rock and watched as the gathering took place.

Demon Lord Nazareth arose from his throne to speak on behalf of the demons and warlocks. The demons were the most powerful beings of the underworld. They were powerful, magical, and the most strategist out of them all. They were the first of the beings to exist in the underworld and everyone else came from their dark bloodline. Nathanial knew Nazareth for a long time. He had a big mouth and too much ambition to destroy the human race. He despised the human race so much that he will go to an extent to sacrifice himself to destroy the humans. In the past, he came close but Nathanial became the blockade to his unfulfilled desire. But Nazareth is nothing without Nathanial, he is the only survivor of that night. Nathanial still didn't know why he spared him all those years ago. He is the only one who knows his past.

The flames set upon  Nathanial had died and he laid there covered in ash. Everyone had left assuming he was dead and their suffering forever gone with him. He allowed them to burn him hoping his own sins would burn away but his heart was still crying and hurting as if holding on to something. Nanthanial began to get up with the little bit of energy he had left. It was for the best that he left this place for good and never returned. As the ashes moved from his body, he was once again clothed by the winds. Nathanial began to walk away when he heard footsteps behind him.

"You are worse than those humans, how can you let them burn you and you walk away without taking revenge. This is what happens when you help those filthy lowlife humans." Nanthanial knew this being, he had spared his life, he was Nazareth. Nazareth stood behind him in his human form. He had a white toga on and looked as if he was a prince. Yet one can tell he was no human, his red eyes gave it away. He was as human as the flesh that covered him, his soul never was born.

"You are the one to claim humans are filthy creatures yet you come in front of me in your human form," Nathanial smirked. He could see the annoyance in Nazareth's eyes, which was enough for him to swoop down on Nazareth and grab his throat. Nathanial pushed Nazareth to the ground waiting for him to fight back. Nazareth remained emotionless and stared back at Nathanial without hesitation and let his disguise fall away. Now everyone can truly see the demon that he really is.

His whole body was covered in black rags and from the rags, his cut flesh can be seen. Worms and unknown insects crawled all over his raw flesh of a body. He was really a true being of hell. He smiled to reveal all his fangs. Nathanial wanted to kill him, but he was bound by his job, he had already killed way too many of their kind. He had defied he who wrote the destinies by killing creatures like him.

"You won't kill me, I know. The fact that you raised your hands on me is enough to give it away. If you wanted to kill me, you could have done it without laying a finger upon me. I have already seen how you killed the Master." Nazareth smiled seeing the perplexed look on Nathanial's face. Nathanial let his arms drop to the side. He was right Nathanial wasn't going to kill him.
