"Loving you is a test, being with you is a trial, above all that is loyalty, which I must prove to my Lord, before I prove to you..."
He was the servant of the most Merciful, an Observer, by his job. His only job was to observe...never love. Story...
"Are you all right miss?" Dales questioned her as he held her body closer to his. She was normal, nothing special about her at all, yet she defied his power. When Dales saw her falling from the stairs, he rushed over to catch her. The sweet scent from her body made him hungrier than usual. Dales just killed for fun, but there was something in her that wanted him to go beyond just a kill. She is the only creature that was able to resist his eyes. Dales had made countless creatures do his bidding with one look but this girl, she was worth testing his patience.
"Thank you, Mr. Dales. You saved my child." Miriam said. Dales saw her quickly glance at the Observer before adding, "I will be heading to my room."
"Yes, you better and I will escort you there," Dales said as he forcefully held her by the arm and walked to an open room further upstairs. She seemed lost today, maybe it was almost the shock of falling off. The last time he had tried holding her hand, she pulled her hand away. As they got closer to her room, Dales felt her trying to release her hand away from his hand. Dales released her hand. "I do beg your pardon, but I would like to have a few words with you before I depart."
"Thank you for saving me Mr. Dales, But it is better we stay at a distance. You work with my cousin Hover and I only live here. There isn't anything that I may assist you with." Miriam said as she walked into her room trying to push the door, closing him out. This girl and the nerve of her. She had no intention to assist him. Humans, say one thing and do another. Dales grabbed onto the edge of the door and force himself into the room. But halfway Dales stopped, Dales stared into her eyes waiting for her to say something. She looked at him keeping her calm. An anger swept within him and Dales took his index finger and touched her in the forehead.

The next thing, the girl fainted and fell to the ground. She began to shiver in place. Dales looked at her shivering body waiting for her to turn to ice. However, that never happened. She remained shaking as her body as the temperature dropped. How was this possible? Dales's Cold Curse would turn anyone he uses it upon an ice statue. Her body should have crystallized, she should have been dead by now. But here her flesh remained intact. Dales bent down and picked her up. He walked over to her bed and left her on her bed shaking. She still wasn't worth dead yet. Dales thought. Dales left her there and walked out of her room. When he got back to the staircase he found the Observer still standing where he had last seen him. He was staring into the bucket of murky water lost in thought.
"You there!" Dales shouted waking the Observer from his trance. The Observer looked up as Dales made his way down the stairs. If the Observer is all that, that he had heard from Nazareth, he will surely know that he was a demon. Dales thought as he approached Nathanial. Dales walked over to him and stood in front of him. Dales waited for Nathanial to recognize his identity, but the Observer seemed lost. Nathanial spat on the floor near him and then said, "You missed a spot servant." As the Observer bent down to clean the spot where he had spat, Dales kicked the bucket of dirty water on the floor.
