10. Tenebrous

Third person POV:

"Yeah yeah, just few more days and I'll be home." Joseph's voice resonated all over the house when he was talking on the phone with his wife.

He finished the call then turned over to your direction, where you were sitting with the three other men.

"Oh no," Joseph said dramatically, "She said she'll get mad if I don't go back within a week."

"Being married is pain sometimes.." He muttered earning a chuckle from you and Kakyoin.

"I disagree, I think being married is romantic." Polnareff apposed, and rose from his seat walking toward Joseph.

You glanced at Jotaro who just tipped his hat at Pol's comment.
You've been exchanging glances and smiles now and then, you've even gotten closer from the day he kissed you but nothing more than that happened, and no one else noticed.

"Anyway, we have to go meet someone now." Joseph announced: "He works at the Speedwagon Foundation, he came all the way here to investigate the necklace."

"Wanna come with us Y/n?" Joseph offered, but you refused thinking this is a good opportunity to clean the house while they're outside.

You told him so and handed him the necklace, but to your surprise Jotaro and Kakyoin didn't go out with the other two.

"We'll be helping you with cleaning, Y/n." Kakyoin said, and that made you happy.

You divided the work between you three, but all of you started with the same room; the study; thought everyone did a different place.

Jotaro was cleaning the book shelves because he was the tallest, right then, a book fell and a picture slipped out of it.
He bended down and picked it up scanning it, it was an old picture of you and your sister.

You noticed that and looked a little down, recalling the beautiful memories.
"Your sister was cute!" Kakyoin complimented, who apparently noticed the picture too.

You just nodded at him then he spoke again: "If you don't mind me asking, how did your sister die?"

You were surprised, but your face didn't show as much expression as theirs.
They both looked at you intensely, being reminded by what your brother called you previously, hoping it's not the cause.

"That.." you took a deep breath and continued, "It was a suicide."

They looked shocked, they didn't know what to say so you looked up and spoke again:
"But you know, I doubt it, I refuse to believe she did that, she was brilliant and cheerful to the last second, I refuse to believe she took her own life."

You weren't sad anymore, instead you were mad at yourself, you couldn't protect her, even after she's dead you couldn't find out who killed her.

"We'll help find out the truth." Jotaro proposed trusting what you told them, wrapped his arms around you that caught you off guard.

You felt warm and safe: "Thank you." you said in a low voice.

Time flew by fast, and now you were done, but you were all sweaty. Jotaro went to shower first, though you had another shower room, you didn't wanna leave Kakyoin alone so you just waited until Jotaro was finished.

Once he came back, you and Kakyoin went to shower, of course separately.
You took off your clothes and got in the bathub, you closed your eyes feeling relaxed then when you opened them your expression turned into a horrified one.

"K-kakyoin!"

Kakyoin was right in front of your naked body, you froze in place not even trying to hide yourself.
You opened your mouth about to scream but he shut it using his hand.

'It can't be' you thought, 'Kakyoin is taking a bath downstairs.'
You focused on his face and something felt off about him.

He leaned in and licked your neck, you closed your eyes feeling disgusted, unlike Jotaro's touch, this felt wrong all the way.

A tear fell down your cheek, you couldn't believe the situation you're in and you kept on thinking of a way out.

'Jotaro, help me'

Suddenly the door broke down and there stood none other than Jotaro.

Jotaro's POV:

As there is nothing for me to do alone, I decided to have a nap while those two are showering, I walked upstairs and past the bathroom but noticed something strange.

The floor was wet, water was slipping from under the bathroom door. That made me suspicious, did Y/n pass out there or something?

Without even bothering to ask, I broke down the door but to my surprise, I saw a sight I've never wanted to see.
