5. Dulcet

Third person POV:

The waiter coming down with menus snapped you out of your thoughts, you looked at your menu aimlessly, you already knew what to order before you even stepped feet in the restaurant.

Everyone seemed focused on what to choose and after a good while the waiter came back, taking your orders.
You told him what you wanted and so did the rest, but you didn't pay much attention to what they chose.

A customer passed by you had a small dog in his arms, that you didn't expect so you jumped up in fear and yelled like you saw a ghost.

"W-what the hell?" you yelled out holding up your arms to cover your vision.

Kakyoin looked at you in confusion:
"What? you don't like pets?" he asked you, hoping that's the case.

"Why is that thing in here anyway??" you freaked out, "And yeah I'm sorry but I don't like any pets near me at all!" you confirmed nodding your head.

"Why? they're cute!" Joseph said looking back at the dog that's already far away from you now.

You looked down and whispered: "No-not at all!"

"Eeh, this explains why you don't have any pets at your house." Kakyoin concluded chuckling.

"You sure you don't have pets because you're scared of them?"
Jotaro teased which made you blush.

"Who said I'm scared? I'm n-ot! I can even have a bird or a fish!" you stuttered, afraid you've been found out once again by him.

"A bird or a fish?" Jotaro chuckled, "that doesn't count, because those are always locked up in a cage or an aquarium."

You were about to start arguing but the waiter interrupted you coming down with the plates.

"Your boeuf bourguignon (Beef Burgundy) sir." He placed the plate in front of Polnareff, you looked at his plate already guessing he ordered something french named.

You looked at the rest of the dishes,
Steak & fries for Joseph, A noodle soup for Kakyoin, and rum glazed shrimps for Jotaro.

You digged in your lasagna, completely forgetting the four men beside you. Well, you didn't care, it's been a while you didn't eat this and you missed it, you liked this place's lasagna because it has way more cheese than any other place.

"As cheesy as always!" You said enjoying the taste.

Everyone did the same and after some time you all were finished with your food.

"Man I'm full!" Joseph noted out, leaning back in his seat.

"Huh!" you eyed him confused, "What are you talking about? it's dessert time now!" you continued, your eyes glittering.

"Do you women never get enough of sweets?" Joseph whined in which you didn't pay any mind to.

"I don't mind having desserts." Pol stated then both Jotaro and Kakyoin nodded in agreement.

"Yatta!" you cheered earning a chuckle from Joseph.
You again already knew what to order, Pol and Kakyoin seemed to have already chosen, but Jotaro seemed troubled and you decided to help him.

"You don't know what to order?" You asked him which made him turn his attention to you now, instead of the menu.

He just nodded then you pointed out at a dessert name: "I always have this, I highly recommend it, just trust me hehe."

The waiter took your orders and soon came back with them; Joseph had just a bottle of coke, Pol had fondant au chocolat (Chocolate cake), Kakyoin had a cherry pie.

But what you didn't see coming was, the lemon parfait you always had, and the one you recommended to Jotaro was put in front of you too.

But there was only one, along with two spoons.

"Bon appétit." The waiter said and was about to turn back, but was stopped by Jotaro.

"What's this?" Jotaro asked, his expression clearly annoyed.

The waiter's eyes widen as he didn't understand the situation. "What's what?" he answered with another question.

"Yare yare daze, I'm asking why is there only one?" Jotaro asked again but now angry.

"I just brought your order sir, and this is a couple parfait, you're supposed to share it with the madam." he answered poiting at you.

You blushed at what he just said, it's true the parfait looked ridiculously big sized for one person, but you never noticed because you never came here with anyone other than your sister.

"I'm sorry Jotaro, I didn't know." you apologised feeling embarrassed: "Let's just order another one."

Jotaro let go of the waiter and looked at you straight in the eyes and said:
"I don't mind.."

"What?"

"If YOU don't mind sharing it, then I don't.." Jotaro told you, tipping his hat down that hid his embarrassed expression.

"O-oh okay," you stuttered, "After all it's a lot for one person hehe, but I used to finish it on my own!" you kept on going to try to get rid of the awkwardness.

You both had your first bite, then you asked Jotaro if it was yummy, in which he just nodded as an answer.
That made you proud, choosing the right one.

"Ahem.." a cough was heard, reminding you there were other men sitting in front of you, you completely forgot about them as you were focused on the two of you.

You stared up and the three gave you playful looks, you decided to shrug it off.

After you were done, you all stood up, you went to pay but Joseph insisted on paying again, and you couldn't change his mind so you just let him do.

Everyone was now walking down the parking, not far away you surprisingly could recognise a familiar face, that made you flinch, you didn't want him to see you.

Not him, not now.

Your thoughts made you stop on your tracks which you didn't notice, until everyone else stopped walking too and looked at you. You were about to tell them to go on, until..

"Y/n!!" a rather strange voice called out your name, but you knew who the owner of it was.

A man but not so older than you stood right in front of you: "Y/n I knew that's really you!"

You didn't want anymore interactions so you just nodded and turned back.

"Wow, you're ignoring me now.." the once smiling face he had was replaced by a disgusted expression: "Nothing less to be expected from a bitch like you, murderer." he said, though the last word almost came out as a whisper.

"Oi.." Jotaro yelled about to punch the man but you stopped him. He just looked down at your sad face now.

"Who's that?" Kakyoin asked, "Do you want us to beat him up?" he now offered and you just declined.

"That was.. my brother."

With that said, you went back to the car and so did everyone, you drove back home, only this time the ride was silent.

Great, that just ruined your day.
