SHINSO POV

When I was younger I had a dream.

I wanted to be a great hero and be able to rescue people.

I wanted to rescue people like me.

People who weren't strong enough.

People without the confidence to defend themselves.

When I heard aizawa was willing to take me for internships I was so happy.

He was willing to help me become strong.

Help me so I could transfer to 1A and live out my dream.

I was going to work hard.

Not many people like me get this opportunity.

I was not about to pass it up.

I made my way out of my room as quietly as possible.

As I reached the living room I saw my mom laying on the couch.

Multiple empty bottles of alcohol lied on the floor and coffee table.

I wasn't paying attention and accidentally tripped over a bottle that had rolled its way to the hallway.

Shit.

My mom slowly woke up and her eyes met with mine.

"Oh... Hitoshi? Where are you headed this early? What's in your backpack? You don't have school? Your not leaving me again are you?"

She stumbled up and walked towards me.

"Mom I'm not leav-"

I saw tears start to form in her eyes as she stumbled towards me. Once she reached me she fell to the floor and started sobbing while clutching onto my tshirt

"Toshi I'm sorry! Did I yell at you again? I didn't hit you right? I can't remember! Please don't leave me Toshi!!!"

I hate the way that nickname sounds as it leaves her mouth. She has only ever used it when she did something wrong or was apologizing to me for shit she didn't even remember.

"Mom I said-"

Suddenly she stood up and pushed me to the wall.

I didn't even flinch as I fell to the floor.

I was used to it.

She began to cry and scream.

"IM SORRY OK? I DIDNT REALIZE YOU WERE THIS DAMN UNGREATFUL! JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER! I DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU AND YOUR SO DAMN QUICK TO LEAVE!"

"MOM! I said I wasn't leaving! Please... I've been going to train with a teacher. I told you this I've been going for the past week"

I watched as her mood changed.

It really is fascinating how fast she switches her moods.
