Chapt. 2: The Girl In The Forest

"Find her!" 

"Who the hell is this kid?!" 

"Behind you!" 

"Over there!" 

That makes 8... 8 rogues has trespassed into this forest. "Ack!" I knock the last one out of the tree and land next to the body. His neck is broken finally. If he didn't struggle as much it could have gotten a lot quicker. 

"That's the last one..." I pant while staring at the body beneath me. My eyes dart to the right side of me when I hear somebody's footsteps heading toward my way. I quickly get rid of the body and hide in the trees. 

Looking down, I see the same boy from the other day. He's looking around as if he lost something. Or looking for something... "Where did she go? I know she's here." 

'He doesn't look like a threat. He's the same age as me.' I thought before jumping down from the tree and landing behind him. "You again. What are you doing here?" I ask with a glare. 

"Ah! There you are!" The boy, Naruto, turns around and grins at me. "I've been looking for you! Why did you suddenly disappear the other day?" 

"....You shouldn't be here." I avoid his question and turn my back to him, walking away. 

"Why? You're here." 

"That's because I live here." I reply as he began to follow after me. 

"No way! You live in the forest!?" He exclaimed. "So which means you have a house in the forest somewhere, right? That's so cool!" 

"Stop shouting. You're loud." I said. "Why did you come back here? You should go back." 

"How come I don't see you around the village? Do you even go to the academy?" 

"I didn't know there was a village near the forest. And what's an academy?" I stop walking and turn around, and look at Naruto with a raised eyebrow. 

"You've never been in the village or to the academy?" 

"No." I said while shaking my head. "Your name is Naruto, right?" 

"Yep! The next Hokage! Believe it!" He grinned. 

"...You should head back to that village you mentioned before. The forest isn't the safest place to be at right now." 

"Huh? How come? You're here in the forest." 

"I told you I live here. Just go back." I began walking off again. 

"Hey!" As he grabbed my shoulder, I quickly turn around and growl at him, causing him to take a few steps back.
