Chapt. 3: Do You Have Anymore Rice Balls?

~Mokou's POV~ 

I had fallen asleep in one of the trees after a long walk around the forest. For once there were no trespassers this morning. I can finally have a day to myself. "I spoke too soon..." I open my eyes after telling myself this when I hear footsteps. 

Looking down from the tree I was I spot 3 ninjas dressed in a uniform as they were wearing animal masks. They aren't dressed like the other rogues I have disposed of. They must be from that village that Naruto mentioned. But why come here? 

"Doesn't matter." I shake my head before jumping off the tree, landing onto another so I can listen in on their conversation. 

"Who are we suppose to be looking for? Nobody goes into the forest." 

"Lord Hokage was informed that somebody was in the forest. We are to investigate it. Somebody by name of Mokou is living in the forest."

'They know my name?' I blink before glaring down at the trespassers. How do they know my name? Did Naruto tell them?  

"Mokou? And who is that?" 

"That's why we are here. Just keep an eye open for her." 

"Right." 

'I'll end them quickly. I don't want my name getting out. Not like this.' I thought before heading forward, and ahead of the group. As they got closer, I quickly hop down from the tree and land on one of the ninja, quickly pulling a kunai out from their weapon pouch and held it to their throat. 

The two other ninja got on their guard while one of them took out a kunai of their own. "Wait! She's just a kid!" The ninja held his arm out, telling his partner not to attack. That's strange. They're not attacking? That's the first. 

"She's going to kill him!" 

"She's defending herself." The ninja put away his kunai and put his hands up in defense. "We're not going to hurt you. We're here because we're looking for somebody. Is your name Mokou?" 

"And what if it is?..." I glare. 

"We're here to bring you to the village. The Village hidden in the Leaves. Lord Hokage has asked for you." 

"I don't care." I glare. "Now give me a reason why I shouldn't slit your friend's throat. Neither of you are welcomed here. Leave or else." I threaten. 

The two were taken back by my threat and took a step back. Then, my stomach growled. I forgot to eat breakfast this morning... This could have came at a better time... 

"Here." One of the ninja took out a rice ball and set it on the ground, then took a step back again. "Go on. Take it. You're hungry, right?" 

As soon as he stepped away, I throw away the kunai and lunged at the rice ball then devoured the whole thing. As I did this, the person I had pinned down had gotten up from the ground dusts himself off. When I was done eating the rice ball, I extended my hand out to the ninja.
