Chapt. 4: Didn't Think I Would See You Again

~Mokou's POV~

After meeting the old man who runs the village, the ninja who took me in, known as ANBU, escorted me my new home, which was an apartment. I was told that some Chunin was going to escort me to this academy tomorrow since it will be my first day. 

Once we had reached the door, the ANBU left. I took out the key that the old man gave me and unlocked the door. The apartment was big for at least 3 people. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a nice looking kitchen, and living room with a coffee table. 

After closing the door I kicked off my shoes and went straight to the bathroom to shower. When was the last time I showered? I know I smell bad. 

After stripping out of my clothes, I turned on the hot water and turned on the water. Looking in the mirror, I take out each bow I had in my hair and watch my hair fall. "My hair has gotten longer... It's almost touching the floor." I sigh. 

Since the old man gave me some money, I guess I should buy some new clothes. Or, I could always go back to the forest and get my old clothes from there. That would be a better choice. 

But why now? From all those years of being inside the forest, why choose now to come and get me? I don't get it. 

"I rather stay in the forest..." I tell myself before sighing. After my shower, I get dressed in my old clothes and check out the kitchen. In one of the cabinets there were a big bowl of ramen and in the fridge there was milk and a bottle of water. "Looks like I do have to go shopping. Normally I would eat berries or the left overs from what dad use to make, and cook some of the little food I had in my house." 

But I'm not hungry at the moment. I'm not even looking forward into going to this academy. Do I have to go? And this village is so noisy. 

I'm use to things being quiet in the forest, despite the amount of trespassers coming in for reasons I don't know about. Why were they even there in the first place? Ever since father died, they started showing up. 

So confusing... 

The next day, I am awoken by a knock at my door. Dragging myself out of bed, I go to the door and open to see a man with brown hair with a scar across his nose. He's wearing a green vest and a headband on his forehead. 

"Good morning. You must be Mokou Fujiwara, right?" He smiles at me. "I'm Iruka Umino. Starting today I'm going to be your teacher at the academy. I'm here to take you there. Lord Hokage told me you'll be joining today. Are you ready to go?" 

"Yeah. One second." I nod my head and put on my shoes, putting on my bows, then head out the door with Iruka. On the way to the academy, I noticed that there were ANBU on one of the rooftops looking directly at me. 

'I'm being watched?' The old man doesn't trust me, is that it? 

"Here we are." Iruka said and we stopped in front of this building. This is the academy? "The other students are already there. I'll be sure to introduce you to them. Let's head inside." Him and I enter inside the building and down the hall until we stopped at a slide door.
