Spark [Naruto] (Discontinued)

Chapt. 12: Demon Brothers & Zabuza

"I'm so ready! This is my first time being out of the village!" Naruto was excited about this mission I got us into. All we had to do was bring an old, drunk bridge builder to the Land of Waves. 

"Keep in mind that this mission isn't like the rest of the missions that we've had." Kakashi warns. 

"What do you mean Sensei?" Sakura questioned him with a worried look. 

"On these types of missions there is likely that we will run into other ninja on the way to the Land of Waves." 

"And if that happens we'll be ready for them. Can we go so we can get this over with?" I scoff and began walking. 

The walk to the Land of Waves was very quiet until Yuuki suddenly hopped off my shoulders and splashed in a nearby puddle and hissed at it.

"Yuuki?" I pick me up and hold in my arms. "What's gotten into you?" 

"You should know that all cats hate water. That's why it started to act crazy when he saw it. Let's keep moving. " The old drunk said, walking pass me. 

I continue walking with the group after Yuuki got up on my shoulders again but kept glaring at the puddle. "What is it?" I mutter to him. He wouldn't act like that unless there was something wrong. 

"Just be ready." He whispered to me and I nodded. After walking a little further from the puddle Yuuki just splashed in, I saw two figures leap out of the puddle and attack Kakashi. 

We all watched sharp spike-like chains wrap around his body before the two ninjas pulled the chains so hard that it cut Kakashi into little bits. 

Sakura screamed as Naruto shouted, "KAKASHI-SENSEI!!!!" 

After the two ninjas killed out sensei, they went after....me? "Grab her!" 

"Now!" They both said. I glared and jumped away before they could grab me. 

"Yuuki!" I shouted. 

"Right!" He hopped off my shoulders and transformed into his human form, then screeched. He managed to get one of them, but the other was already behind me. 

Glaring at him, my eyes glow and a wall of fire rises up from the ground, making distance between him and the ninja. 

"Ugh! Hot!" He grunted, but used his chain to wrap around me to capture me. 

'Dammit! Can't dodge it in time!' I thought as I growled. Suddenly a shuriken clashed with the chain and pilled it against the tree, followed by a kunai. 

"Can't get loose!" One of them said and the chain broke. But they still came after me. They're not giving up. Why am I the target?
