It had been almost a week since All Might was dragged out to a faraway city to help law enforcement with a highly classified case. You had woken up in his bedroom the morning after the alley way incident to nothing but a handwritten note explaining he would be gone for a bit. He promised to call you the second he arrived back. Admittingly you'd thought it would be sooner than a week.

You hadn't even exchanged phone numbers but upon checking your text messages you realized he texted himself from your phone before adding his info to your contacts. After the fourth day of waiting you toyed with the idea of checking in with him but ultimately decided distracting him wasn't the best idea. The fifth day passed, and then the sixth. It was no secret you were starting to worry. Ayumi noticed the concern plastered across your face and tried to distract you during your lunches together but ultimately the only thing that would ease your uneasiness was All Might, safe and sound.

Every day after work you walked past his office on your embark to the elevator. Darkness. It ate at you. You had no reason to worry. He IS the number one hero for a reason. He never needs saving. Still, it pained you that he'd left before you could say goodbye. The night you fell asleep in his bed was the worst night you'd ever had. Something you never in a million years thought would happen, did.

All Might had a duty. He still needed to work. But it hurt like Hell realizing he left. You desperately needed a continuation of the comfort he showed you the night before.

A soft glow caught your eye as you punched the down arrow on the elevator panel on the seventh night. It was coming from All Might's office. But he'd been gone all week and hadn't texted you to let you know he was back. Surely he would have let you known right? Perhaps a look couldn't hurt, you decided.

Every one had already gone home for the night so the chances of getting caught sneaking into his office were slim to none. Your feet dragged you towards his office door, guided by your desperate longing to see him again.

You rationalized trespassing in his office in your head. Wouldn't want to increase the power bill. Perhaps a janitor left it on while cleaning his office earlier in the day. Though with how many windows there were, there was hardly any reason to use artificial lighting, especially during the day. Even the moon and blinding billboards could provide ample illumination in the evening.

As you turned the knob it became apparent that the light wasn't coming from his office, but from his personal quarters instead.

Your suspicion grew. He promised to text you as soon as he got back to town. You began to fear the worst as you closed the door softly behind the you making sure to keep the handle turned to prevent a loud click.

Thoughts race through your head as you tip toed through his office letting your eyes focus on the reduced visibility and then refocus as you entered the hallway leading to his connected apartment.

Once you reached the door you contemplated your options. Sifting through all the possibilities of what could be on the other side proved to invoke more anxiety than you liked. The best option was to walk in innocently and assess the situation. If it was All Might then you would just tell him the truth: you had seen a light on and thought you'd take care of it knowing that he was away. Of course you would leave out the part where you missed him more than anything and are pissed he didn't immediately text you on his arrival.

And if it was someone else on the other side, well you'd have a lot of explaining to do as to why you just invited yourself into your teacher's living space.

You took a deep breath as you turned the knob of the second door, this time making little effort to conceal the noise. Whoever was on the other side needed to be alerted of your presence before entering. As you opened the door the faint sound of music traveled from the kitchen. So much for being loud. The door clicked behind you as you followed the tunes. If All Might was in the kitchen he sure was aging himself with the song selection.
