The week dragged by. All Might was gone most of the days to fulfill his duties as the new professor at UA. You were supposed to shadow him during your internship, especially with the task Ayumi gave you of essentially narrating his personal life, but he preferred you stayed at Might Towers to work with the other staff while he was away. As your coworkers argued over which billboard color made All Might look most inspiring, your mind was off in a distant land.
Things were well, to be put plainly, awkward between you and All Might. He never truly apologized for the emotional turmoil of that night. You knew he regretted deeply the fact that he couldn't make up his mind on what was right, but he never came out and said it. Even cuddling up to him after he showed you his disfigurement felt unfamiliar. It was almost as if he was hiding something more: something that would completely reveal who he truly was. With the constant switching of emotions, you weren't totally sure that you wanted to know anymore. It scared you to think that maybe All Might isn't everything and sack of potatoes. The thought of not being with him though, well, you'd rather not think of that.
"--not like he would ever take you for sushi anyway. Minori told me Monday morning that he's been running around with someone else," you overheard one of your coworkers say to another.
Your eyes shot up to see who was speaking. Kenta and Yoko. They were on the same marketing team that you were assigned to but you never really talked much other than work related inquiries.
"Whatever. I'VE never seen him with anyone so I think I'll take my shot. Could you imagine how good I would look next to him?" Yoko said standing up. She straightened her back and held her elbow out to mimic how she would presumably stand next to a man. "I can hear it now! Just imagine people saying 'Look! That's All Might's girl!' We would make a perfect couple, don't you think?"
You glared at Yoko from across the table. All Might's girl? In her dreams. All Might was yours. Jealousy overtook you as she continued to spout on about how amazing your man was.
"Did Minori say who All Might is seeing?" You asked Kenta. Better to be part of the conversation than questioned for your silence.
He shook his head. "No, she wouldn't tell me. She's like a professional secret keeper or something I guess. I think that's why All Might hired her. That and the fact that her quirk allows her to tally anything and everything without forgetting. She makes a great receptionist when you think about it. She knows who's in the building at all times," Kenta explained.
A weight was lifted off of your shoulders as Kenta reassured your worst fear. You wouldn't have to tell All Might about your conversation with Minori after all. She knew your secret but wasn't going to tell. At least not directly. You found it hilarious that she was stirring the pot though by even mentioning All Might running around with a girl.
"Well I don't think All Might is seeing anyone," you added. "One of the first times I talked to him I asked if he had any family or was interested in having one. He told me that the effort of finding a potential mate was too much work on it's own." You spouted as many lies as you could to get Yoko to stop spinning around calling herself....his.
"Well I won't make him work for it then!" She excited, grabbing Kenta as a charade fill-in for All Might to dance around the office with.
You scoffed under your breath before returning to your work. Entertaining her anymore would drive you up the wall. You'd never established what your relationship with All Might was. It had no title, yet you felt possessive of him. You did not want to share. The thought of Yoko even talking to All Might about work related matters now that you knew she was crushing on him, made you want to punch her square between the eyes.
