Hours passed. You began to wonder if he would ever return. There was no television in the bedroom so you found yourself wandering through the kitchen. The fridge was nearly empty. The cupboards too. How did this man get any nutrients into his body? You distracted yourself by making some rice -- one of the few things he DID have.

Rummaging through the freezer you found an entire salmon filet. It was way more than you could eat but your options were limited. If anything, Toshi could eat the leftovers. You tossed the vacuum sealed filet in the sink and ran cold water over it to defrost it.

Against your better judgement, you flipped on the local news station on the living room tv. Of course -- live coverage of the scene's cleanup played as the newscaster summarized the day's events.

You listened intently waiting for any hint of All Might's departure with you or his interview upon return as you continued preparing dinner in the kitchen.

"Don't watch that." Toshi seemingly entered out of thin air, turning the TV off the second he entered the room.

"You were gone for more than 30 minutes," you fumed, turning your back to the hero to turn off the faucet.

Toshi casually laid his hands on your waist. "I know, I'm sorry."

You weren't having it. You pulled away from his touch. Something about him actually being there with you pissed you off. You started opening the lower cupboards to find a frying pan.

"I can get you a pan, baby," he began, resting his thin palm around your upper arm.

"I got it!" You pushed it off and pulled open the cupboard closest to him, pulling out the first pan you could grab.

"Baby," he tried.

"No!" You yelled, turning around to meet him. "You don't get to do what you fucking did to me and then just act like nothing happened! This fucking back and forth shit is annoying. "

Toshi shifted. "Sweet girl, can we--"

"Do not fucking call me sweet girl right now," you retaliated.

"I'm sorry," he said softly. "Can we talk? I'll help you make dinner. Have you eaten today?" Toshi grabbed the salmon from the sink and shook off the residual water droplets.

"No," you replied, calming down a bit. You were pissed but he was right, you did need to eat something.

Toshi grabbed a large, wooden cutting board from the top of the fridge. He placed the salmon on top, cutting the plastic open with a pair of sharp kitchen shears.

"Let's get this going," he said quietly, pressing a few buttons on the rice cooker. You were so frustrated you forgot to even turn the damn thing on.

He pulled the large filet out of the plastic and carefully placed it back down on the board. You watched as he expertly cut the salmon into smaller fillets, his knife sharp enough to do most of the work. You could tell he was thinking of what to say. His eyes looked even more sunken in than usual.

"I told the team," he said as he turned on the front gas burner, placing the pan on top. "About us." He oiled the pan as it got hot before attending to the salmon once more.

You grabbed a couple of your favorite spices off the rack and handed them to him as he seasoned the fish.

"They knew already," he added, never lifting his head to look at you even though your eyes never left him. For the first time you couldn't gauge whether he was sad, happy, angry or anything else.
