BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

You slamed your hand down hard on the snooze button of the alarm clock. Surely it can't be 8:30 already. You rolled over in a sluggish manner, barely opening your eyes to look at the blinding neon numbers.

8:49

Your eyes shot open, almost not believing what they're seeing. FUCK, you screamed to yourself. Almost immediately you jumped out of bed, completely ignoring the sudden change in temperature that came with abandoning the warm covers. Rubbing your arms you stammer over to the closet, pulling out the first thing you managed to grab.

"I am so going to be fired for this," you mutter under your breath as you pull on the plain black shirt over your disheveled hair. Quickly, you finished getting dressed and throw on your sneakers before heading out of your new dorm room. School didn't start for a few days so you had volunteered to take on a couple extra morning shifts at work this week. It turns out that maybe you're not as much of a morning person as you thought you were. You had spent the previous day moving in as well which probably didnt help your case.

U.A. didn't have official dorms so most third year students move into a dorm style apartment complex near the school. It's very convenient for every day life except for this very instance. You haphazardly threw on your jacket as you ran down the street. Normally it would be a five minute walk from your parents' house but the shop where you work is probably twice as far from your new place. As you approach the store you check your phone for the time and in a sigh of relief you enter the front door.

"Just on time, (y/n). Have a rough start this morning?" You hear your favorite coworkers' voice from behind the clothing rack nearest to you.

"Dude you have no idea. I woke up ten minutes ago." You walk around the rack to see your abnormally short friend struggling to return the men's suit jackets to the rack. "Let me clock in and I can help you out, Po."

"So are you excited to start your last year of school or are you going to fail again?" Po asked, throwing a few pairs of pants in your direction while you punch your card. How is she so small, yet so aggressive? You thought small things were supposed to be cute and nice. You chuckle to yourself but she notices and almost immediately rolls her eyes. "What?"

"Sorry, I was just wondering why you haven't had that stick removed from your ass yet." You replied almost in tears from laughing so hard. Po looked as if she was about to reel one back and punch me when we were interrupted by an unfamiliar voice.

"Excuse me."

You both whipped your heads around to see an incredibly tall but skinny older man with blonde tresses. His entire body looked as if it were composed of only bone and flesh. His cheeks were sunken in and his eyes tired, yet he carried a slight smirk as he focused his attention on you.

"D-Do you have anything larger than this?" He asked pointing to the already seemingly too large for his body type suit.

"Uhhhh, sure," you muttered quietly as you grabbed the garments from his skeleton hands. You quickly glanced at the tag. 3XL. "Are you sure you need something larger? I have been working here for a while and I am fairly certain this will fit you. You may even find it's too large for--"

"It's for a friend," the man cut you off. You have a habit of blurting out whatever pops in your mind first.

You blushed. "Oh, well sorry to assume sir," you quickly apologized and directed the tall man to the other side of the store where the larger sizes were located. Both you and Po watched as he fumbled through the racks. You noticed he picked out a few different gaudy styles that not even the most attractive pro hero could pull off. "Would you like any help picking a suit out, sir?" You asked hoping you could instill some fashion sense into this guy.

"Actually I-I think I found one that is acceptable," he said holding up a mustard yellow pinstripe suit. You had to suppress your laughter. After all the customer is always right and this guy is just some plain old Joe shmoe. His friend probably isn't much different.

"Great! I love that one!" You exclaimed in the fakest ecstatic tone you could manage, grabbing the suit and motioning him towards the cash register. As you started to turn away from him, you noticed a slight blush on his cheeks. You didn't have to use your quirk to know he felt slightly nervous. What a weirdo. As you rang up the suit you were appalled at the price. This HAD to be the most expensive suit in the store. Maybe he didn't read the price tag. "¥38,000," you read aloud, expecting him to shudder at the price.

"Alright," he said toneless as he thrust his credit card in your direction. Okay, so he's a rich weirdo. You figured maybe he is a pro hero you haven't heard of before. His credit card read Toshinori Yagi. Perhaps you'll look it up later you decided. "Thanks," he said grabbing his new garment. You didn't realize your mind had dozed off during the transaction and he had already walked off.

You blushed for a second time talking to this old man. "Thank you! Have a wonderful day mister!" You exclaimed as he paced out of the store. He gave a thumbs up as he turned the corner.

"Well that was freaking strange," Po muttered from behind you.

"Tell me about it. That set he bought was stupid expensive and he didnt even blink," you replied.

"Ooooh. Sugar daddy," Po suggested with a wink. You typed his name into the search bar on your phone, half ignoring what she was implying. No hits. Who could make so much money and not even have a social media presence?

"Hey at least I can get one. He didnt even look at you," you reply slyly, winking at your friend who clearly took offense to that statement. Older men never caught your eye, you were only 17 after all, but something about him made you want to be his friend. He seemed lonely. Something felt off about who he really was and made you wonder what he did for a living.

You shrug if off. You'll never meet him again anyway....right?
