Let me in! ( Yukio x reader )

Chapter 7. Relaxation

It was late at night, the usually loud environment of True Cross academy had died down as students and staff alike were relaxing in their respective homes. You a teacher of the cram school and student of True Cross academy was sitting at your desk looking through the piles and piles of work that had to be done. Along with the work required at the true cross, you also had reports that needed to be sent to the Vatican about the things you learned at your time here.

Your mind couldn't keep focus as you stared down at your desk, your life had been so crazy these past couple of months that you knew you needed a break. You leaned back into your chair as you took out your phone from your pocket. You knew Yukio was going to finish his patrol soon so you decided to call him to see if he wanted to join you in your break.

You held the phone up to your ear as you sat up from your desk pacing up and down the room. "Hello?" You smile as you hear the voice of Yukio ring through your ear. "Hay Yukio, how's the patrol going?" You sit on your bed crossing your legs relaxing into the soft covers. "It's pretty quiet honestly, but Shura is being annoying like always." You laugh as you hear Shura scoff in the background of the call. "Well tell her I said hi. But anyway I was wondering if you wanna hang out once you are done with work. I need a break and I thought you might need one too."

You go quiet as you wait for Yukio's response, "it's funny, you were hired to help me with work but now you are trying to get me out of it." Yukio chuckles making the blood rise to your cheeks "hay! I was hired to help you, have that be help with work or help to take breaks." You hear Yukio mumble something but decide to ignore it "but yeah sure we can hang out, I'll finish here soon so how about we meet at the front of the academy in an hour or so?" You smile quickly getting up from your bed "yeah sure I'll see you then, bye-bye." You hang up and throw your phone on the bed and start getting ready for what was to come.

"Glad you could make it!" You jokingly say as you watch Yukio walk up to you fixing the collar of his clothes, you were honestly surprised. You never really got to see Yukio out of his exorcist uniform so it came as a shock seeing him be so casual. "Sorry that I'm a little late." Yukio brushes a hand through his hair "no it's fine, how about we get going?"

"So where are we going Y/N?" Yukio asks as the two of you walk through the busy streets you called home. "Well first I was thinking we could get some food and then I thought we could just walk around maybe find a few shops to look at, how does that sound?" Yukio nods "sounds good to me."

"So what do you think about Shima coming back?" You ask as you and Yukio enjoy your food which you ordered from a restaurant not too far from the academy. "I didn't expect him to come back, but he is a double agent and all so I guess it isn't that surprising." You nod as you eat your food "I still don't think he's trustworthy but I guess we can get information on the Illuminati from him." Yukio agrees and smiles at you.

"God I'm full-" you huff out as you place a hand on your stomach making the exorcist chuckle. "We did eat quite a lot." You get up from the seat and walk off leaving Yukio confused but you soon come back smirking. "What did you do?" He asks tilting his head slightly "I paid for our food!" You smile in victory placing your hands on your hips. "You didn't have to do that Y/N..." You shake your head "I didn't have too but I did it anyway."

It was an hour later and the two of you were once again walking down the street happily chatting. "So I'm thinking since we are heading back to the dorms we could take a longer route and walk through the park not too far from here. So you know? To get some fresh air." Yukio looks down at you making you look away in embarrassment "sure let's do it."

"It's so beautiful!" You yell walking through the pathway of the park. The moonlight was shining through the streets as the sweet song of the wind flew through the trees. You were in front of Yukio excited to be out at such a late time, Yukio was watching you and he felt happy for once. He was relaxed and felt truly like himself as he watched you run through the park. You turn around facing Yukio and wave to him "come on slowpoke!" You smile at him, and for some reason that clicked something inside the broken exorcist.

At that very moment Yukio's face heats up as his legs felt weak, he swore the entire town could hear his heart beat as his walking slowed down. His mind begun to race as he came to a stop. He was confused very confused, but he tried his hardest to bring himself back to Earth.

"Y-Yukio?" You ask out of breath after running up to the exorcist, you gave him a look of worry as you saw just how flustered he was. "Is something wrong?" As you say this he snaps back into reality making him step back a little "y-yeah I'm fine! Just a l-little tired that's all." Yukio chuckles and rubs the back of his neck still trying to calm down. You smile as you grab the boy's hand pulling him along "come on let's get back to the dorm so we can watch a movie okay?" Yukio yelps in shock but quickly follows you. "O-okay then." He smiles at seeing that you were so excited.

As the two of you walked through the park you were both calm knowing that you had each other's backs and could count on one another no matter what. The rest of the night was filled with Movies, snacks and laughter as the two of you enjoyed each other's company. And as the night came to a close and you were laying in bed. Both you and Yukio felt calm and ready for anything the world might just throw at you.
