Let me in! ( Yukio x reader )

Chapter 11. Fear

It was early in the morning, the sun had just risen as the world slowly begun to wake up. You were awake bright and early quickly walking through the halls of the hospital that Yukio was staying in. You walked up to his door and stood there in silence as you took a deep breath, you slowly opened the door and stepped inside to see Yukio laying in his hospital bed reading what looked to be Romance manga.

"Good morning!" You say as you sit at the seat close to the boy's bed. "M-morning-" he says as he quickly tries to put his book away. "How did you sleep?" Yukio asks as he brushes a hand through his hair "alright I guess, my stomach is still killing me..." you reply placing a hand where you stabbed in your most recent fight. "H-here I bought you breakfast." You say handing the boy a paper bag. "Oh thank you." Yukio opens the bag taking out the sandwich you had made for him, he takes a bite and softly smiles making your heart flutter.

As you watch Yukio eat, you take out paperwork from your bag and place it on Yukio's bed "Mephisto wants this done by Monday, I did most of it but he wants your point of view on what happened in Aomori." Yukio nods while he takes the last few bites of his sandwich "I'll get it done." Your eyes widen in worry as you slouch slightly "are you sure you are okay to work? You need to rest Yukio you were badly hurt." He chuckles slightly while pushing his glasses up "don't worry I'm fine, other than my broken arm I'm pretty much as good as new."

"So how is everyone else back at the cram school?" You and Yukio were now working away in the hospital room trying to get as much done as you could. "Pretty good, lightning is still around helping me teach. Oh and Suguro is still following him around, apparently, they are trying to look into the school's history." Yukio nods as he types away at his laptop "do you know lightning, you know cause you are from the Vatican." You laugh slightly letting a smile grow on your face. "Kinda I guess, we aren't close but I'm pretty sure he knows who I am. Like, come on! He's a powerful man, he's best friends with the Paladin so I don't expect him and me to be all buddy, buddy. But no, in all seriousness he's a scary man."

"What do you mean?" Yukio asks looking at you a little worried "he is so dangerous, he will do whatever it takes to do what he wants." You shiver thinking about the things you have heard about him. "Then we have to keep an eye on him I guess..." you nod as Yukio gets back to typing.

"I better get going Yukio." You say while standing up from your seat and brushing yourself off. "Well alright then, I should be out of here on four days so get stay safe till then okay?" You laugh as your cheeks become red "hay! I can protect myself." He shakes his head "are you sure? You're the one who got stabbed!" "Says the one who's arm is broken." Yukio chuckles.

You sigh as you step out of the hospital, letting your body relax. You walked back through the quiet halls trying your hardest to stay calm. In all honesty, you were terrified, terrified of what would happen next to true cross, Lightning was about to discover the blue night and you knew once these secrets have unleashed all hell would break loose. You had seen Yukio on his bad days and you knew better than anyone else that he was dangerous, he was holding on by a thread, and as each secret is uncovered that thread became weaker and weaker.

You were snapped back into reality by the sound of your phone ringing. "Hello?" You say as you step out of the hospital feeling the cold air hit your skin. On the other end of the phone was none other than Lightning himself. "Hello Y/N." You could practically hear the confidence coming from the man as you crossed the road "what do you want Light? you know I'm busy now that Yukio is in hospital." The older male chuckles slightly making you shiver "so you are working for him, even if it isn't your job." Your body tenses up "how do you know that?" it went silent for a moment but lightning began to talk again his voice now sounded serious "come on Y/N, I know what you are doing and I know you are trying to keep the secrets of this school away from the light. But just know that I will uncover these secrets no matter what you do." You stood still in shock your body slowly becoming weak. This man had stopped you in your tracks just from his words alone. You quickly hung up stuffing your phone into your pocket, you began to walk again trying to get back to true cross academy as quickly as you could.

You knew that something big was coming so it was your job to try and stop it.
