"Come on we have to go!" Rin yells as the three of you run as fast as you can through the snow back to Towada shrine hoping that, that was where Shura was. As you rushed through the snow your mind clouded with doubts, even if you were an exorcist and a child of a powerful man in the Vatican you never really had been in a fight, your job was to keep secrets away not to shoot guns. But you did have some training in the world of combat so you hoped that it would come to use.
As you made your way closer to the shrine you saw who you thought to be Hachiro a slender god who has many pairs of eyes scattered across his face. You looked over to see Rin flare up in both Flame and anger as he ran up to God swinging his sword hoping to hit the immortal creature. You and Yukio followed close behind Rin, tightly holding onto your guns as you watched Rin be slammed into a tree by Hachiro's hand which had become a large snake.
"Rin!" Yukio screams as he was about to shoot at the god but he was quickly kicked down to the ground by the immortal being himself. Your eyes widen in fear as you realized that you were completely out in the open. You hold up your gun as your hands shake trying to muster up the courage to shoot, as you pulled the trigger you felt your body step back. As the bullet flew towards the god he moved away letting the bullet hit a tree. "Shit!" You say as you feel the guilt of missing cloud your mind. Hachiro gave you a smirk showing that he didn't see you as a threat, he looked back down at Yukio digging his foot into the poor boy's back.
"Good, now we have a human man. A man who will leap into the fire." You shake in fear as you hear Rin scream from the tree he was pinned too "let me go!" Hachiro chuckles "let's begin before he returns.." as the snake slowly moves back to the god's body Yukio's eyes widen in fear "w-what are you talking about?! Surely you d-don't mean-" "yes you will plant the seed.." Yukio tries to move away but was unable too Shura slowly moves closer to Yukio trying not to be harsh "don't do this! He is just a kid!"
"Then you move, go!" Shura slowly nods as she rolls Yukio over and slowly gets on top of him. As this is happening you see the flames of Rin in the corner of your eye, you feel a burst of confidence start to control your body as you once again hold up your gun ready to shoot. You pull the trigger and hit Hachiro in the arm making him move his attention on you, this gives Rin a chance to pounce at the god cutting his arm off.
Shura quickly jumps off of Yukio "s-sorry." As You and Rin engaged in combat with the god you felt your mind focus on one thing 'protect your friends.' You shot and shot again taking times to reload your gun. You stopped as you heard Hachiro and Yukio scream "no!" You turn around to see Shura holding a sword to her neck with a calm smile on her face. The god pushes her down leaving her body to lay in the snow. "Y/N, Rin! Make sure she doesn't do anything crazy okay!" You nod and run up to Shura staying close to her as she sits up.
"Hachiro...move your contract to me. If you force this Shura will take her life." Yukio stood before the god confident as you watched in fear of what will happen next "Yukio no!" You scream running up to him but before you could get too close you felt a sharp pain in your ribs, you fell to the ground blood now seeping out of the large stab wound as the white crisp snow turned Red. Yukio looked at your bleeding body "I-I'm sorry Y/N but I
Crave power no matter what the cost." He looked desperate to make sure you were okay but he knew it wasn't the right time.
"Y-Yukio!" Rin runs to his brother as Shura grabbed your body trying to stop the bleeding. Yukio held his gun up pointing it at Rin's head "I'm sorry but I don't need your help." He pulled the trigger letting Rin's body fall to the floor "it will take twenty minutes for him to recover, shall we begin?" He puts his gun away as the god grabs Shura pulling the blood contract from her body, he sets her down and places a fingertip on Yukio's now exposed chest. As the demon began to scratch the contract into the boy's chest Yukio screamed at the top of his lungs "now Rin!" And with that, the boy sprung at the god attacking him at full force.
As Rin attacked the god erupted in flames screaming and crying in pain. You slowly sat up holding the wound in your chest "y-you had me worried Yukio." He turns to you giving you a soft glance "you just focus on staying alive alright? Oh And Shura now you are free." The woman softly smiles but it soon ended as long snake-like arms flew out from the flames grabbing Shura and pulling her away from the group.
As the demon pulled Shura away Rin ran up to you worried "h-here!" He used the flame to close your wound. You thank him as you jump up grabbing your gun ignoring the extreme pain you felt. You turn around to see that the demon had grown to be bigger than the shrine itself "Jeez.." your knees became weak realizing that you had to fight that thing. "Okay you two don't look Hachiro in the eyes he has hypnotic powers." You nod taking your eyes off the demon as you run up to him.
Rin didn't seem to get the message so he looked the god directly in the eye causing him to pass out "it must be stronger on him!" Yukio yells as he points his gun at the demon, you do the same but as you were about to shoot Shima jumped in front of you too out of nowhere "heya guys!" Your cheeks heat up in anger "Shima?! What are you doing here- wait no I don't care just move out of the way." You run In front of him ignoring how confusing this all was. You felt your body stop as Hachiro moved closer to the frozen-over lake holding shura tighter, as he stepped onto the lake he fell into the cold, cold water emerging into the body of water "s-shit!...Yukio! Is Rin awake I have an idea!" "Yes is his!" Yukio helps Rin up as he wakes up from his quick slumber "good! Okay, so you see how a part of Hachiro is hanging out of the water? Well, Rin I want you to use your flames at full power you got that? And Yukio it's your job to make Sure Rin doesn't look into the god's eyes!" The brothers nod as they run-up to the demon to put the plan into action.
The brothers stepped onto the demon, Rin Pierced the skin with his sword as Yukio covered his brother's eyes with his hands. "Ready Y/N!" Yukio yells as you stood away knowing how big Rin's attack was gonna be "yup!" You reply. Yukio nods as Rin's flames begin to flare up
"Satan bomb!"
As he yelled this the lake and god became one big mountain of flames filling the sky with the gorgeous colors of blue and green. Rin's attack blew up in power as some of the arms of the god came out of the water, Yukio tried to shoot the arms but was quickly grabbed and squeezed tightly. Yukio screamed in pain as he felt the bones in his body break, you shot at the god feeling the anger take control. As you hit Hachiro he let Yukio go, you Run up to Yukio holding him close as he coughed up blood.
You didn't know what to do, Rin was still busy attacking, Both you and Yukio were injured and you didn't even know where Shima was at this point. As all hope was lost Shura burst out from the leg holding her demon sword tightly, she had short hair so you assumed she cut it to break free from the gods hold.
"I've decided! I no longer need you. I'm going to live!! I'm done living like I'm already dead. This is the end Hachiro."
Both Shura and Rin did one last attack making the god scream out in pain, you tried your hardest to watch but your body was struggling to stay awake, your eyes began to flutter as your body fell to the ground next to Yukio's unconscious body.
You woke up surrounded by exorcists from the true cross running around to make sure everyone was okay. You quickly sit up as look around to see Yukio, Rin, Shura, and Shima talking to each other. You walk up to them as Shima runs off leaving the four of you alone "is everyone okay?" You ask. The three of them nod making you smile. Shura quickly pulled the three of you into a hug trying to show gratitude but also not trying to hurt you guys even more.
"Thank you, this day wouldn't have come if it Hadn't been for you three..."
